Nutrition and Health Science Moliere Overview Nutrition and Health Science: Career Insights
  • Even as they put on weight, people want to make at least the appearance of doing something about their diet. So there should be plenty of work to go around for nutrition professionals.
Nutritionist Nutritionists and dieticians both help individuals improve their diet by planning meal programs and overseeing the preparation of food. A Dietary Manager typically oversees a large food-service preparation facility, such as a cafeteria, while a Registered Dietician (RD) is licensed to put such a program in place. Clinical Dieticians provide the same service in hospitals and other medical facilities, in consultation with doctors and other medical professionals, while a Public health nutritionist and public health nutrition director typically are concerned with nutrition on a large, community-wide scale.
