This is especially true at high altitudes where the thin atmosphere offers less protection. To help you protect your family, EPA is updating the UV Index, a daily forecast of the expected risk of overexposure to the sun, to be consistent with international guidelines developed by the World Health Organization. JFK Partners offers a wide variety of training and fellowship programs. Our programs are diverse but share the common goal of enhancing the quality of services for children and young adults with disabilities and their families.
As part of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, JFK Partners faculty offer knowledge and experience that guides each participant's learning experiences. Long term training experiences are composed of coursework and practicum and/or clinical placements. Coursework covers a variety of topics including leadership, consultation, and teamwork skills, and essential concepts in pediatric developmental disabilities and special health care needs. There is a strong emphasis on systems development and systems change.
Professionals currently working with children (birth to 21) in the disciplines of audiology, pediatric dentistry, developmental behavioral pediatrics, health administration, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, speech language pathology, as well as parents of young children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Colorado Family Literacy and Adult Education
The Learning Source for Adults and Families is a local non-profit organization working to educate and promote colorado literacy and adult education. Mission Statement
"We provide opportunities for motivated adult learners and families to attain their educational goals through adult and family literacy, GED preparation and English instruction." Agency Profile
The Learning Source for Adults and Families was started in a church basement in 1964 as the Adult Education Tutorial Program with only 40 students and 16 volunteers. Last year, the program reached 1,413 adults in 16 programs throughout the Denver metro area with the help of more than 150 volunteers. Sixteen programs operate in ten locations throughout the Denver metro area. The centers are in areas of high need and are in diverse locations, from church basements, schools and recreation centers to the Denver County Jail. After careful consideration, in September, 2001 the Board of Directors voted to bring our name in closer alliance with our mission by changing it from The Adult Learning Source to
