Ljubljana Life Interview:
U.S. President Bill Clinton: June 14, 1999
by fred michael liss and william g. wagner Ljubljana Life's exclusive interview with US President Bill Clinton was a collaborative effort between the publisher William Wagner and editor Fred Liss. The visit by President Clinton to Slovenia on June 21st and 22nd was an extraordinary event by any measure. It was the first visit by an American president to the young republic, an event which generated an unprecedented level of media attention in this small nation of just 2 million people. Here is what the President had to say about the nature of his trip in his own words, including his views on the situation in Kosovo and the important role that Slovenia plays in helping to promote regional peace and stability. 1. Mr. President, what is the nature of your trip to Slovenia? I will have the honor of being the first American President to set foot in independent Slovenia. Your President and Prime Minister have visited the United States. I want to reciprocate their visits to demonstrate my commitment to our continued partnership and friendship. We have witnessed a steady deepening and strengthening of the ties between our two nations since Slovenian independence in 1991. I believe that U.S.-Slovenian relations will continue to develop progressively in the years ahead and that my visit will contribute to that.

And to show that this is no empty boasting for the present occasion, but real tangible fact, you have only to consider the power which our city possesses and which has been won by those very qualities which I have mentioned. Bill Clinton's Get Out Of Jail Free Card...c/o Clinton's Angels Wed Mar 6, 2002 - More than four years after the allegations first emerged that Clinton sought to hide his affair with the White House intern Lewinsky, a special U.S. appeals court released a report by independent counsel Robert Ray, who said he decided not to prosecute after Clinton "publicly admitted his wrongdoing." In the final report on the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal, an independent counsel said on Wednesday he had enough evidence and could have prosecuted and probably convicted former President Clinton for impeding justice and giving false testimony. In an investigation that earlier led to Clinton's impeachment and then acquittal, Ray said he decided against prosecution because of sufficient "noncriminal alternatives," including "significant administrative sanctions" for Clinton. "The independent counsel concluded that sufficient evidence existed to prosecute and that such evidence would 'probably be sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction ... Independant Counsel Robert Ray said that evidence showed Clinton impeded the administration of justice, including testifying falsely under oath three times in the Paula Jones case. Clinton had said he could not recall ever being alone with Lewinsky, said he had not had a sexual affair or engaged in sexual relations with her, and said Lewinsky's sworn affidavit denying a relationship was "absolutely true," Ray said.

Bill Clinton, America's 42nd President has managed to survive the scandal of his much-publicised affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, and his marriage to Hillary seems stronger than ever.He married Hillary Rodham in 1977 and they have one daughter, Chelsea. The Sun in Leo makes Bill warm and generous, with a flair for dramatisation Bill dislikes authority and being ignored, and needs to learn to soften his pride and accept criticism. Bill has the strongest creative urge of all the Sun signs, and this must be expressed either practicallyor artistically. He is full of vitality and will be frustrated and unhappy if unable to express his creativity.
Four planets in Libra indicate Bill's desire to get along with others and a love of style, beauty and sophistication.

W. Bush and independent H. Ross Perot In his first year in office, Clinton won passage of a national service program and of tax increases and spending cuts to reduce the federal deficit. He also proposed major changes in the U.S. health-care system that ultimately would have provided health-insurance coverage to most Americans. Clinton was unable to overcome widespread opposition to changes in the health-care system, however, and in a major policy defeat, failed to win passage of his plan. After this failure, his proposed programs were never as sweeping. The president's wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton , whom he married in 1975, played a more visibly active role in her husband's first term than most first ladies; she was particularly prominent in his attempt to revamp the health-care system.

Letter from Kenya President Moi to U.S. President Bill Clinton August 21, 2000
Excellency, I convey to you and to the American people warm greetings. I recall with great pleasure our recent meeting in Washington at the Summit on Africa when we had the opportunity to exchange views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest. I wish to take this opportunity to write to you on a matter of great interest to my people and country. As you know, Kenya is basically an agricultural country and farming provides the basic needs for our families and communities. Yet in the face of growing population and environmental challenges, current farming methods are proving incapable of meeting our requirements for food security and economic growth. It is therefore imperative that we in Kenya embrace appropriate technologies and policies to transform our agricultural system to become more productive and profitable. It is in this context that we must view the new developments in biotechnology as offering great hope and promise. While the Green Revolution was a remarkable success in Asia it largely bypassed Africa. Today the international community is on the verge of the biotechnology revolution which Africa cannot afford to miss.

And, it will cost millions and millions of dollars more just to keep the edifice operating and functioning in the future post-Clinton years. Else where in Arkansas, there is also the Clinton Birthplace , the Clinton Cultural Campus and the Clinton Presidential Retreat . Not to mention the Clinton pardons at the Oval Office!!
