These pages are intended to provide resources to make it easier for those who want to find a professional auditor at reasonable rates, locate people they can co-audit with or continue with their solo auditing. You can find an E-meter for a reasonable price and explore the pages of many people who have ventured into setting up their own auditing practices outside the CofS. Many have chosen to adhere to the technology as detailed by L. Ron Hubbard but without the practices of the original Scientology Organizations which they consider unethical. While others have developed new technologies feeling that the flaws of Scientology organizations require a fundamental re-structuring of the discipline. French Scientology trial

A French prosecutor has asked a court in Marseille to jail a former leader of the Church of Scientology who has been accused of obtaining large sums of money by fraud from other members of the Church. The prosecutor also called for suspended sentences to be given to five of the six other people accused in the case. In her summing up, the prosecutor said the accused had been engaged in a massive con trick. However, the scientologists said they were being persecuted for their beliefs.Defence lawyers had argued the Scientologists could not receive a fair trial because of what they described as the media hysteria surrounding the case. INSIDE THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY DAY 1:
    Date of Publication:3/1/98
The Church of Scientology uses deceptive tactics, pushes costly programs and denies close ties to several local and national groups that recruit new members for the church, critics say. The Boston Herald also reports that L. Ron Hubbard, the late founder of the Church of Scientology, made wildly inflated claims about himself, including space travel, college degrees, World War II combat, war wounds and more.

The church's World Literacy Crusade has targeted black families with a learn-to-read program that experts say is a rehash of 30-year-old methods infused with the church's religious teachings. The Boston Herald also reports that the church is attracting black families to a Scientology-run school in Milton that has used a device akin to a lie detector on students.

DAY 3: Date of Publication:3/3/98 The Scientology group Narconon Inc. of Everett is recruiting children in the schools for what critics say is an unproven and possibly dangerous anti-drug program. The church denies strong ties to the group - which receives taxpayer money - but the Boston Herald has found otherwise.

Marijuana is one of the most widely used illegal drugs in society today. Opinions about the dangers of marijuana differ widely. Many people believe smoking marijuana is no more dangerous than drinking beer. Others consider it a potential stepping stone to drugs such as heroin or cocaine. What is the truth? What are the effects of marijuana? * Joint: cannabis or hashish mixed with tobacco and rolled in paper, like a cigarette.

Mr. Hubbard left an extraordinary legacy: an immense body of wisdom that leads man to spiritual freedom; the fastest-growing religion in the world today, Scientology. As the founder of the Scientology religion L. Ron Hubbard has described his philosophy in more than 5,000 writings, including dozens of books, and in 3,000 tape-recorded lectures of Dianetics and Scientology. The German foreign minister, Klaus Kinkel, says he will raise disagreements over the American-based Church of Scientology when he visits the United States on Wednesday. It follows reports that Congress in Washington is planning a resolution condemning Germany for religious persecution. In a statement in Bonn, Mr Kinkel said the allegation was without foundation because Scientology in Germany is focussed on commercial and not religious activity. The German authorities have placed Scientologists under surveillance for possible anti-state activity, after allegations that the Church is linked to Islamic extremism. Welcome to the Founding Church of Scientology Washington, D.C.
The Fraser Mansion was fully renovated and restored, bringing new life to this historical D.C. landmark, as seen here in the reception area. The solid white oak floors and woodwork in this building, handcarved in 1890, were fully brought back to their original beauty. Nearly 50 years ago, the Founding Church of Scientology was established in Washington, D.C.. Today, we can look back proudly at the past five decades. From this beginning, Scientology now encompasses more than 3,200 churches, missions and groups in 154 countries, helping millions around the world. Mr. Hubbard would continually return throughout the most important formative years of Dianetics and Scientology from the late 1940s to the early 1950s.
The stained glass windows in the chapel feature the Scientology cross and Dianetics and Scientology symbols on either side. The flanking white oak paneling was handcarved in 1890. The chapel is the setting for Sunday Services, weddings and other Scientology ceremonies.

The Church of Scientology is a religious cult which has unwisely decided to declare war against the Usenet and Internet communities. Since December of 1994, this Church and its followers have committed numerous acts that are hostile to the spirit of free speech on the Net. This web page is intended to document these activities.
    NOTICE TO READERS
My apologies for the length of time this page has been unavailable to the Net , and even more apologies for the fact that I've not substantially updated it since October 15, 1996. I'm no longer able to keep up with events on a day-to-day basis, so this site is probably going to have to remain a "historical" document rather than a source of up-to-date news. For a more conscientiously updated site, I recommend Andreas Heldal-Lund's Operation Clambake page, which contains both later news and pointers to many of Scientology's Secret Scriptures. Many of you may be wondering why I'm no longer at Cybercom.net. The reason is that on May 15, 1997, Cybercom deleted my account, all my web pages, and all of my private files, without any notice whatsoever. I had to file a lawsuit to get my files back and my mail and web pages forwarded. For more information, visit this page:
