Christianity and Homosexuality These two topics have recently seemed to be mutually-exclusive. Members of the religious right say that one cannot be a good Christian and be homosexual while some members of the gay community say one cannot be an honest homosexual and Christian. Both of these statements are false and show a good deal of ignorance and fear on both sides of the issue, please read on. Homosexuality is not unique in its status as an issue some people use to justify their hatred and/or repression of others. Throughout the history of this country, the world, and the church there have been other issues that were divisive in nature: anti-Sematism, slavery, and female clergy to name a few. John 7:1 states " After this Jesus went about in Galilee, he would not go about in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him

A History of Christianity in Egypt
Table of Contents Author's Note: When writing about the history of any religion, regardless of time and place, I have found that it is often difficult to separate history from tradition. In some cases, the two are one and the same, while in others, one account can be radically different from another. It is my purpose in these articles neither to vilify nor praise any one system of belief, but merely to present the story of a fascinating aspect of our world's history. I welcome any and all clarifications, corrections, additions, and comments that may be given by my readers to better this account. Thank you. DCS This page is being updated all the time as more and more information keeps coming in from all over and I thank all of you who have volunteered information for this site. I am working daily to expand the information on Egyptian saints as well as on the Catechetical School of Alexandria (the Didascalia) and the great theologians who were Egyptian. As with all the other articles I have written, I welcome any additional material that my readers might send me. he purpose of this site is to provide a variety of source material on early Christianity. Though more and more books are dealing with Early Christianity, they all have their own biases. I always want to read source material and then study various viewpoints on that material. In my attempts to study the development of Christianity, finding the actual source material was often a problem. I have found the WEB to be a source for material that is either not in print or not readily available. You will find both source material as well as opinions on all of these sites. Hopefully you will find this material thought provoking. I recommend two books for aids in studying early Christianity:
The Complete Gospels "(1992) Robert J. Miller, editor, Polebridge Press. Contains all first and second century gospels and fragments currently known. There is excellent commentary and background material on each gospel.

West Hills Baptist Church was established on September 4th, 1957 with members gathered within the Multnomah Legion Hall. Until recently (Aug 2003) under the leadership of Pastor Peter Kelly (a previous youth minister, sports coach, associate pastor and journeyman electrician), WHBC takes care to insure that we are a Bible teaching church with New King James Bibles provided in the pews for services. Worship with hymns, individual song and contemporary lyrics create a whole family fellowship.
WHBC is currently seeking to create several music teams for worship to the Lord and asks for interested persons to contact our office via the e-mail button or in person.
We are an "Independent Baptist Church" in fellowship with the "NW Regular Baptist Fellowship" and with the "General Association of Regular Baptist Churches" of Schaumburg, Illinois.
WHBC has Bible education for all ages from primary through adult. Teaching materials are furnished through the "Regular Baptist Press" and also "Word of Life International". It is important to state that the Word of God begins in Genesis with "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth". WHBC supports Biblical Creation as an important foundation to understanding the Gospel; to Him alone goes the glory.

What is Christianity?
There is a crisis of misunderstanding of the Christian faith. Many Christian beliefs are widely misunderstood and often intentionally misrepresented in public discussions. This site, taken from the entire series of the "Exploring faith today" booklets by Rev Dick Tripp is clear and informative. There are eighteen articles written to be easily understood by seekers and believers alike. They are non-agressive, thoughtful and well informed and will help readers understand more clearly the truth and relevance of Christian beliefs. THE BIBLE
The massive early manuscript evidence showing that modern translations of the New Testament are at least 98% accurate. EYEWITNESS
A look at the considerable eyewitness evidence that we have in the New Testament showing that, whenever the final books and letters were written, we can thoroughly trust the picture they give of Jesus.
