Welcome to the OCLCC's Website!
At our school, we offer students a unique, unparalleled opportunity to learn Chinese language and culture. In a short ten weeks under our dedicated and professional faculty, a rigorous course plan, and a low student-teacher ratio, our students make unbelievable progress after merely twenty hours of training. Since our establishment in 1996, our school has achieved a pristine and unrivalled reputation. Our success is based on three major factors. First, we have followed a tried, tested, and true formula for student progress: a vivid environment where students are immersed in Chinese language and cultural studies. Second, our pedagogical methodologies ensure that our students' language skills improve dramatically throughout the term. Finally and most importantly, our faculty members' expertise, experience, and dedication guarantee the quality of our endeavours. We are proud to be the sole school in the Ottawa area with only professional Mandarin teachers. Thank you for taking the time to check out our Web Page. We hope that you find the information interesting and maybe get in touch with us.

Xi'an Jin Quan Coin Museum, an affiliated organization of Xi'an Jin Quan Coin Culture Co., Ltd., is the first free private-owned museum in China, with four chain coin museums in Xi'an, Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen respectively. The company contributes greatly to carrying forward rich Chinese coin culture and disseminates Chinese traditional cultures, with ancient coins as the carrier. Now Jin Quan Coin Museum has been formally absorbed as a member by International Council of Museums and also the first free private-owned museum in this global organization in China. Jin Quan Coin Museum is the first and the largest coin motif museum in China. It¡¯s sure that every visitor is dazzled by the endless array of currency exhibits that are more than the eye can take in.
Coins are living history. Visitors can read the past years through each rusty ancient coin, such as Bao De Tong Bei, Qin Ban Liang, Han Wu Zhu and gold ingot of the Ming Dynasty. These ancient coins with diversified shapes link up Chinese history and they themselves also would increase in value as time goes by.
Stories about money from A Du Wu, Kong Fang Xiong to Qing Fu have been come down from generation to generation. And, they maybe will be perfect as the social development.

Chinese Folktales
There are hundreds upon thousands of Chinese folktales. These folktales have survived thousands of years throughout Chinese history mainly through the oral tradition. The merits of these folktales lie not so much in their literary worth, as in the common folk wisdom they convey. Often, they are short, have a simple plot, and can be told in just a few minutes. And often in the story, there is a blur between history and mythology. Today, many of these folktales have survived as a short proverb, widely used and understood in the Chinese language. The common characters in these folktales could be: a magistrate, a king, a patriot, a wise man, a foolish man, a soldier, a young scholar, a maiden, a good son, or a hardworking servant. Some of these stories involve deities, while some involve only mortals or commoners. The significance of these folktales is the display of Chinese values. Some of these common themes are: the triumph of justice over injustice; the supremacy of wisdom over sheer physical strength; examples of cleverness or resourcefulness; examples of filial piety or examples of moderationto mention just a few. These are all important Chinese values which are passed from one generation to the next through the telling of folktales.

How to select excellent tea:
you will get some useful hints and secrets
According to Lu Yu, the writer of the book "Tea Classics" during the Tang Dynasty, Chinese tea has enjoyed a history of more than 4000 years.
Tea was used as offerings in the West Zhou, vegetables in the Spring and Autumn period, and medicine in the Warring period. Later in the West Han dynasty, it became a major commodity. During the 300 years between the Three Kingdoms period and the Northern and Southern Dynasties, especially in the latter era, Buddhism was extremely popular. The Buddhists applied tea to relieve sleep in Za-zen, so tea trees spread along valleys and around Buddhist temples. That is why people say tea and Buddhism accompanied each other during their development in China. Till the Tang Dynasty, tea became popular with the common people. In the Ming Dynasty, tea trade began to play an important role in the government's economic plans and the "Tea and Horse Bureau" was set up to supervise the tea trade.
