Cultural Studies
The Cultural Studies model organizes its approach to the English major by identifying five areas of questions: (1) the general domain of questions posed by critical and cultural theory ; (2) the issues raised by specific forms and genres film noir forms of cultural production and a variety of social differences relations of technology that obtain in oral, manuscript, print, film and electronic cultures; (5) problems having to do with the historical study of the transformations from medieval to early modern, modern and postmodern forms of culture. PIKA Canadian Children's Literature Database - From Library and Archives Canada
This database contains all records for all children's books held in the National Library's Canadian Children's Literature Service Collection over 35 000 titles. The collection contains Canadian children's books in English, French and other languages, dating from the 19th century to the present day.
Recent titles include summaries and age levels. To provide improved access to Canadian children's fiction subject headings are being added to fiction titles.
