Instructor: Peter Lingenfelter Responsible department : Analytical Chemistry Instructor: Peter Lingenfelter Axelia 259 plingenf@abo.fi Responsible department : Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry Description: This course is designed, as described in KTF’s studiehandbok, to give the student the ability to use computers for the processing of analysis data. In order to do this, 8 projects will be completed, using one or all of the programs covered by the course Excel Origin Matlab in order to process the data as required. The projects are intended to introduce the students to computing applications such as those used in the everyday research performed in analytical chemistry. Coursework: The coursework consists of reading and the following 8 projects. There will be no test. Your grade will be determined based on the quality of your reports (and the number completed, of course). The full report descriptions can be downloaded in PDF format from the course website. Click here for my Beginner's Guide to Chime and more detailed instructions before you download. You must also have Stuffit Expander to unstuff the installer. Note: I'm a Mac user, and some directions may be Mac specific, but Chime works on multiple platforms. If you see the molecules above, your computer is correctly configured.
