Art Classes The Bachelor of Visual Arts degree allows students to refine their skills by concentrating on studio classes. Majors are allowed further study in their area of interest with the inclusion of related sequence classes in all areas, plus independent work in Studio I and II. This Fine Arts degree includes art history and French studies, making it a universally accepted program for those pursuing post-graduate work. This program of study qualifies majors for a variety of art related careers including advertising, animation, desktop publishing, illustration, special effects, web design, art director, production coordinator, free-lance artist, storyboard artist, layout artist, media director, interior design, costume design, and set design.

Students in middle grades visual art courses will learn to select, control, and experiment with a variety of art tools, media, and processes used to create works of art and crafts. Students will evaluate historical and personal works of art with increasingly perceptive abilities as they learn and apply organizational components of art and design. Through critiquing techniques, the students develop an appreciation of both the aesthetic and functional aspects of visual art. As the students progress through their study of visual art they gain an understanding of how the arts relate to history, culture, and other disciplines.
