    Navy Pilots
You may find yourself banking your plane into a sharp left turn, then lining up with the carrier deck while you drop just the right amount of speed and altitude. It’s "hook down, wheels down" as you approach the carrier flight deck. As your wheels touch down, you’ll throttle forward to full power. At the same time, your tailhook grabs the arresting cable, slamming you to a complete stop. Naval Flight Officer
Imagine the skills and concentration needed to land a jet onboard an aircraft carrier deck pitching in the black of night or to track a submarine while flying just 200 feet above stormy seas. Naval Flight Officers (NFOs) are the key to successful mission accomplishment. A select group of individuals have the combination of talent and dedication it takes to be an NFO NFOs NFOs train and specialize in specific aircraft including: Aerospace Maintenance Duty Officer

    What USAIG is All About

USAIG (United States Aircraft Insurance Group) was founded in 1928 - just one year after Charles Lindbergh's historic flight from New York to Paris - and we have grown with the industry we serve to become America's largest, most experienced aviation insurance organization.
America's First Name in Aviation Insurance
    General Aviation Underwriting
USAIG provides insurance for the entire spectrum of general aviation operations. Coverages include insurance for physical damage to both private and corporate aircraft, including helicopters, plus liability and medical coverages for the owners and operators of these aircraft.
Virtually all general aviation insurance business is generated by underwriters in our network of offices throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Since most of our general aviation underwriters are pilots, they are able to utilize their aviation knowledge and experience to determine whether or not a prospective policyholder meets our underwriting requirements. Examples of our underwriting criteria include: (1) the pilot's experience in aircraft make and model, (2) aircraft ratings held, (3) the manner in which the pilot will use the aircraft, (4) the pilot's accident history, (5) whether or not the pilot takes annual recurrent training, and more.
Once an underwriter determines how well a particular pilot/aircraft profile matches USAIG's underwriting criteria, he or she will calculate the amount of premium to be charged and provide the prospective policyholder with a quotation.
