Legal Aid Reports
Legal Aid Reports Two reports on legal aid in British Columbia highlight the "real life" impacts of inadequate funding for the legal aid system. The first is a report by the Law Society of BC (available at www.lawsociety.bc.ca ). The second, "Access to Justice Denied," was produced by Women's Access to Legal Services (WALS) (Access to Justice Denied: Women and Legal Aid in BC Report)
These reports confirm the CBABC's position that legal aid services in BC are underfunded, and that people who cannot afford legal services and in particular, women and children are not being adequately served by this government. Greetings from the President
Thank you for your interest in Providence. It is a privilege to share with you who we are and what we do. Providence education is based on an evangelical statement of faith that affirms the infallible authority of the scriptures in everything they teach. Providence is an interdenominational school governed by a Board of Directors, elected from the Corporation which represents the supporters of the School. The College and Seminary student body includes a diversity of denominations; Pentecostal, Baptist, Mennonite and Evangelical Free are among the majority. Over the years Providence has distinguished itself with alumni who had a significant influence in the evangelical movement in Western Canada and beyond. These include Henry Hildebrand, founder of Briercrest Family of Schools, Erwin Lutzer, pastor at Moody Memorial Bible Church in Chicago, and Andrew Karsgaard, medical missionary with The Evangelical Alliance Mission and founder of a hospital in Pakistan. The College currently has a full time equivalent of about 400 students, and the Seminary a full time equivalent of almost 200 students. The mission of Providence is to glorify God by providing an evangelical education at a University level.

    Synopsis
The flag of highest rank, per the standards referenced, is that of the Sovereign, who is also head of the British Commonwealth. Her flag is flown only on her places of residence and when at official functions within Canada. Other members of the royal family may be represented by their flags when in residence or on official duties in Canada, and then only the flag of the highest ranking royalty present. Note, the sovereign's flag to which I refer is the Queen's Canadian standard. Next in rank is the Governor-General, who is the Queen's representative. His flag is flown at residence and office and when on official functions. Similarly, there is the standard of the Lt. Governor, whose flag has highest rank in each Province. The rules governing the display of the Governor-General's flag apply here as well. The order of next rank is the Canadian flag itself.
