Just as they did last year when workers at Gastonia's Freightliner LLC Parts Manufacturing Plant were union organizing, Gaston Chamber of Commerce members are opposing unionization efforts at Gastonia's Stabilus Inc. plant. The chamber's executive committee Tuesday released an opposition statement that read in part:"Based upon the experience of the Gaston Chamber of Commerce, industry and businesses looking to locate or relocate in Gaston County almost inevitably express a preference for operating in a union-free environment.
