122. Ted Brown For U.S. Congress, 27th District, California
Libertarian Party candidate for U.S. Congress in california's 29th District.

"A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - This is the sum of good government."
Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826)
My Political Philosophy
Libertarians believe that you have the right to live your life as you see fit as long as you take responsibility for your actions and don't violate the rights of other people.
Democrats and Republicans liberals, conservatives and moderates, all have some plan to run your life. They believe, "there ought to be a law." Libertarians believe, "there ought to be a choice." Leave people alone and they will grow and prosper.
Government doesn't work, but that doesn't stop its officials from passing law after law, tax after tax, regulation after regulation. Politicians and bureaucrats want power over our lives They don't care whether their plans work or not.
There are too many laws. I am not running for Congress to be a "lawmaker." I am running to repeal laws. There are basic laws that we all know we should follow. Such crimes as murder, rape, robbery and fraud should be illegal.

123. UCSD Libraries: About The Geisel Library
A description of the library building designed by William L. Pereira, with its history and current use. Includes pictures and a map showing its location in the center the University of california, San Diego campus.
http://libraries.ucsd.edu/services/info/struct.html
View Your Record Remote Access How Do I...? About the Geisel Building On December 1, 1995 The University Library Building was renamed Geisel Library in honor of Audrey and Theodor Geisel ( Dr. Seuss ) for the generous contributions they have made to the library and their devotion to improving literacy. In The Tower , Floors 4 through 8 house much of the Library's collection and study space, while Floors 1 and 2 house service desks and staff work areas. Some of the austerity of the original building has been lessened by the addition of the coved ceilings, painted walls, and carpeting throughout levels 1 and 2. The new color scheme complements the color scheme in the addition. The Library Addition was deliberately designed to be subordinated to the strong, geometrical form of the existing library. The library, designed in the late 1960's by William Pereira , is an eight story, concrete structure sited at the head of a canyon near the center of the campus. The lower two stories form a pedestal for the six story, stepped tower that has become a visual symbol for Geisel Library. Whatever its metaphorical connotation, its image is preserved and enhanced by the concept for the addition.
