In the land of Nod, just east of Eden, a master storyteller relates the story of Genesis. He tells of the spirit of God moving over the waters, of the creation of all plants and animals, and of their naming by Adam. He tells of the creation of Eve. Then Adam and Eve disobey God's command and eat of the forbidden fruit. For their disobedience, God expels Adam and Even from the Garden of Eden.30 min

The Denial and the Acknowledgment
The Arab/Muslim Confusion The Western Debt to Islam ... The Inspiration Factor - Let's ask Ibn Khaldun I. Introduction For quite some time, I have not responded to any messages from Mr. Masudur Rahman. Most often, I don't quite understand his kind of logic. Some of you might remember in this context my earlier write-up Destination: Sense vs. Non-Sense on this forum. That I very frequently fail to understand his kind of logic is probably my own inability and failure. For examples, Taleban's coercive enforcement and prosecution in regard to the Hijab issue is wrong, with which the vast majority of Muslims, including myself, agree; however, using his kind of logic and rationality, he can easily rationalize the coercive enforcement and prosecution of Hijab-wearing women in a Muslim-majority country under secular fundamentalist regime of Turkey. Breaking statues is Afghanistan is wrong, and the vast majority of Muslims in the world agree; however, the Qur'an-burning is not of the same level or kind of wrongdoing, according to his kind of logic and analysis.

While the Core Knowledge Foundation encourages the development and sharing of lessons based on the Core Knowledge Sequence, it does not endorse any one set of lesson plans as the best or only way that the knowledge in the Sequence should be taught. You may feel free to download and distribute these lessons, but please note that they are currently in DRAFT form. At this time the draft lessons on this web site do NOT have accompanying graphics, such as maps or cut-out patterns. Graphics will be added to this site later. In participating BCP schools, these lessons are used in conjunction with the Direct Instruction skills programs in reading, language, and math. If you use or adapt these lessons, keep in mind that they are meant to address content and the application of skills. Friday, November 28, 2003 I saw the movie Heathers today. Man, it is awesome. And Christian Slater was pretty cute back in the 80's. Winona Rider has regained my respect. She may have made a bad personal decision in that shoplifting thing, but she is a fucking awesome actress. And that's all I really care about. As with Michael Jackson, he may be slightly cuckoo, but he's a great musician. I watched Bend it Like Beckham last night. It's so cute. Goddd, I miss soccer. And it's only been, like, 3 weeks? I need to find somewhere to play. Start a team. YEAH! My fucking HOUR is up now. Parents are such tyrants.. Later.

Tuesday, November 25, 2003 Yeah, Bender says that song reminds her of me and the guy I like. Hmm. I don't know why that is. Maybe it's the "two friends in lust part." That sounds kinda like my situation. She might have some best friend insight on that one. Who knows. I don't. Silly girl.
