Financial Summary ... Board of Directors,Executive officers, and corporate auditors
April 14, 2004 To all our shareholders and investors
On Tuesday, April 13, we published our settlement of accounts for the business term ended February 29, 2004. Although the reporting period was a difficult one for the Japanese convenience store industry, partly owing to the coolest summer in ten years, FamilyMart succeeded in registering another year of growth in both revenue and earnings. I firmly believe this is attributable to our success over the past few years in training our staff and franchisees in state-of-the-art techniques of profitable store management. As a result, our chain of outlets has shown a steady improvement in competitiveness on an individual store basis. We started the reporting term with a major organizational reform. The traditional nine regions into which our operating area had been divided were reorganized into 16 districts, creating a more horizontal management structure. At the same time, we took steps to speed up the increased employment of younger staff who demonstrate an eagerness to adopt innovations and participate in reform of the management system. These measures further boosted the competitiveness of our stores, and sales in the second half of the reporting term clearly got back onto the path to full recovery. We now start fiscal 2004 with a further organizational reform, by redividing our operating area from the 16-district system adopted last year into a new 19-district system.

I'm trying to correct my errors and have made a few changes as to the opening page. Please bear with me while I try to make this site Search Engine friendly. Thank you, Carol Joan Emil Slama's parents, Karl and Julianna immigrated to the United States from Osijek, Austria-Hungary. Karl in 1912, and Julianna and four children, in 1913. Little is known about Karl and Julianna's lineage in the old country. During the war between the Serbs and the Croats in 1998, the building that housed the records was destroyed and the records were burned, but all is not lost, they were put on micro film by the Mormon Church. The information about their lineage can be researched by contacting them. Because genealogy charts are so complicated, I have kept these pages simple, for my own benefit. If the next generation wants to delve into an in depth search, I feel that gathering all the information I can about their descendants since their marriage will be helpful.

Welcome and Enjoy The MAMMON FAMILY TREE Home Page Web Site
Updated May 17, 2004
The Jews of Bukhara and Bukharian Jewish History
The descendants of Rabbi Yosef Maman (ha'Ma'aravi)(1742-1823)
In 1793, Rabbi Yosef Maman (Mamon)traveled from Safed, Israel to Bukhara to collect funds for yeshivot in the Holy Land. Upon his arrival, Rabbi Maman was disappointed to find that many Bukhari Jews were lacking in their observance of religious customs and Jewish law. Rabbi Maman decided to remain in Bukhara to devote the rest of his life to re-educate and revive the Jewish population's observance and faith in Judaism. While in Bukhara, Rabbi Maman married and had four children. Due largely to Rabbi Yosef Maman's influence, many Bukharan Jews made aliyah to the Holy Land in the late 19th Century and early 20th Century.
Over the last few decades many attempts were made to compile a comprehensive Mammon Family Tree. Unfortunately, most efforts remained unfinished or incomplete with many branches of the Mammon Family unrecorded.
It has been a long time dream of David Mammon (born 1933)and Jeffrey Mammon (born 1973)both of Toronto, Canada to research, compile, record and produce the most comprehensive Mammon Family Tree available for present and future generations to enjoy. By collaborating their efforts of mixing old and new technology, including the compiling of family branch information by hand, corresponding with relatives around the world by letter mail and telephone, using family tree software programs, e-mail and the Internet, David Mammon and Jeffrey Mammon's dream of compiling, editing and publishing the Mammon Family Tree has finally been achieved. The creation of an Internet Mammon Family Tree Home Page Web Site is now a reality.

This is the Lipsman Family site.
I'm Gerald, son of Judy, daughter of Harry and Esther Lipsman. This site is dedicated to them, and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I hear there are 29 of us first cousins now, and that is pretty big family. My intention is to document the family here, with a kind of interactive album of people and events. I've got the interactive people part going, I just have to upload it now. Here is a link to a picture of a wedding, (my Grandmother's sister's), taken at my Grandparents house, with some of my Uncles mixed in. My Grandparent's are slightly to the left of center, behind the bride and groom. Here is the first interactive piece: Our Family Tree.
It's not much of a tree yet, more an Alphabetical list of people.
Most interesting is starting with Grandpa Harry Lipsman, and working towards the kids. Interesting facts about Ashkenazi names Hosted by ProfessionalHosting.ca
