The TBI Den
A sanctuary for TBI Survivors, but ALL are welcomed here! LARGE FONT

GUESTBOOK THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO A TRUE CHAMPION Joe Dickerson - affectionately known to us as JDWolfen
and the other champions who have suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury, as well as their families, friends and care givers and all others who spend their lives coping with non-TBI types of disability. It is valid comment to say that all we truly have in this world is each other, so let us learn to respect, love and share our time here. By doing this we become more understanding and tolerant of our difficulties and thereby overcome them.
We all felt saddened by the closure of JD's tbi survivor's and friend's chatroom WOLFDEN at Chattersville.com and in dedication to all of his hard work, enormous efforts and grand ideals that he so graciously shared with us, that I have decided to create a new room for all of us. The TBI Den offers us the facility to come and enjoy one another, as well as help each other through our trials and tribulations. JD was and is a wonderful example of what it is to be a true champion. It has been his example that has taught us the value and moral grounds in true grace, love, compassion, honesty, and the true value of what it means to be a champion.

Susan's Story
Susan was 7 years old when she was hit by a car while riding her bike. She broke her arm and leg. She also hit her head very hard. The doctors say she sustained a traumatic brain injury. When she came home from the hospital, she needed lots of help, but now she looks fine.
In fact, that’s part of the problem, especially at school. Her friends and teachers think her brain has healed because her broken bones have. But there are changes in Susan that are hard to understand. It takes Susan longer to do things. She has trouble remembering things. She can’t always find the words she wants to use. Reading is hard for her now. It’s going to take time before people really understand the changes they see in her. Back to top
