Nearly all birders who declare life lists over 6000 in the latest American Birding Association List Report, and use computers, use our software. It is the software most widely used by all those over the 1400 species reporting threshold. Why? Because it lets them easily keep track of the birds that they see and also helps them see new ones with its ability to list the birds of any major world area, labeling all the endemics and also the birds that they have previously seen in the area, outside the area, or both.

Skip over main navigation to content. Welcome Your Parks Park Zine ... Feedback Natural Features Fish Point is a gently rolling, shallow-sand, limestone plain in the Great Lakes lowlands, with lacustrine nearshore features, including an excellent example of a sandspit and dune system extending south into Lake Erie. Its near-virgin, southern deciduous forest harbours several provincially rare plants, including the prickly pear cactus, and the hop tree. Rare animals include the fox snake, Lake Erie watersnake, and the giant swallowtail butterfly. Park Facilities and Activities Like the famous Point Pelee spit located nearby on the mainland, Fish Point is an important stopover for migrating birds, and a bird-watchers paradise. Black-crowned night herons and other birds frequent a lagoon, and shorebirds are numerous. Visitor facilities consist of one small parking lot.
Location: On the southwest spit of Pelee Island, twenty-five kilometres from the mainland. Passenger and vehicle ferries leave Kingsville or Leamington, on Lake Erie's north shore, at regular intervals. The crossing to Pelee Island takes about 75 minutes.

This aim of this site is provide an information guide to birding in Colombia. Carl Downing Cali, Colombia carl.downing@birding-colombia.com.

Welcome
Colombia is usually one of those places you've heard mention, probably because of its drug problem, but never considered visiting. In reality the country is a birder's dream; with the highest species count of any country in the World, over 1810, it really is a must for any serious neotropical birder. As for the problems Colombia faces day to day, rarely will these affects the average tourist. My only recommendation is you learn some Spanish as this will make travelling around much easier as few people speak English. This aim of this site is provide an information guide to birding in Colombia. It explains who to contact and and how to get there. Should you require further information please email me . The aim is to build up a full and comprehensive list of sites. Note: http://www.fco.gov.uk

ABOUT THIS SITE. . . .
Most birders enjoy traveling to see birds, and accurate information can improve one's journey. Despite the increasing number of published Birders' Guides now available, most areas in North and South America (the "New World") are not yet adequately covered.
And even where such books are available, a well-prepared trip report can augment such sources. This site is a repository wherein people share their birding trip experiences. In addition, other bird-related trip planning information is included for many areas.
