His daughter and heiress married firstly her cousin, Prince Elisedd ap Ysgorda, in an attempt to keep the throne within the same dynasty. Unfortunately, their union was short-lived and, in the mid-7th century, Princess Ceindrych married a more distant relative from a younger branch of the House of Allmuir, King Cloten of Dyfed. Monarchy
A monarchy , (from the Greek monos arkhein " "one ruler") is a form of government that has a monarch as Head of State . A distinguishing characteristic of modern monarchies is that the position of monarch often involves inheritance in some form - although this is not always the case. (The Holy Roman Empire and the Papacy are examples of elective monarchies). The term monarchy is also used to refer to the people and institutions that make up the royal establishment, or to the realm in which the monarchy functions. In most countries with monarchies, the monarch serves as a symbol of continuity and statehood. Many states have a strong convention against the monarch becoming involved in partisan politics . In some cases, the symbolism of monarchy alongside the symbolism of democracy can lead to division over the apparently contradictory principles.
    History
Monarchies are one of the oldest forms of government, with echoes in the leadership of tribal chiefs. Many monarchies began as absolute monarchies, in a society with technologies that allow the concentration and organization of power but not enough for education and rapid communication to flourish. The economic structure of such monarchies is that of concentrated wealth, with the majority of the population as agricultural serfs. Other monarchies, notably among the

    Monaco Royalty: Princess Caroline
The Grimadi family's roots are in Italy, but their history has been intertwined with that of Monaco for nearly a millenium. The Current soverign is Prince Ranier III. His and the late Princess Grace's eldest daughter is HRH Princess Caroline.
    Childhood
Caroline was Prince Ranier and Princes Grace's first child born in 1957. She became extremely unruly and difficult to deal with as a teenager.
    Marriage
Princess Caroline's first marriage ended in a bitter divorce. Caroline lost her second husband, Stephano Casiraghi, in 1990. He was the father of their three children, in a powerboat racing accident.
Figure 1.Princess Caroline dressed her children in charming clothing when they were young. Her oldest son Andrea pictured here is weaing a white blouse with a big bow.
    Children
    Princess Caroline has three children:
    Andrea
(1984): Andrea is the son of Prince Ranier and Princess Grace's eldest childPrincess Caroline. He was born in 1984. Prince Andrea was very sweetly dressed, but only as a little boy. Princess Grace in 1998 was reportedly speaking with her father Princ Rannier about the possibility of Andrea suceeding him instead of his son and her brother, Albert.

    The Children's Clothes
As Caroline was a bit of a terror as a teenager and young adult some thought that motherhood might not be a major attraction for her. Caroline aince the 1980s seems to have settled down. Motherhood must have been part of the region. And interestigly this young rebel selected very traditional fancy clothes for her two boys and girls. The boys wore sailor suits, velvet short pants, blouses, white kneesocks, sandals, and bows. They only wore these outfits, however, as younger boys. By the time they reached school age they were wearing clothes little different than other wealthy European boys.
