Z DAHLERUS, BIRGER Swiss businessman and friend of Hermann Goering who flew to England (August 1939), in Goering's private plane to personally deliver copies of Hitler's proposals for a peaceful settlement of the Danzig problem to Lord Halifax. Dahlerus is also said to have passed along the date of Hitler's invasion of the Soviet Union, at Goering's request, in May/June 1942. DALUEGE, KURT (1897-1946) Commander-in-Chief of the Police of the German Reich and later Deputy Protector of Bohemia and Moravia. Daluege joined the NSDAP in 1922 and in March 1926 founded and led the first SA group in Berlin and North Germany, a position he held until 1928, when he transferred to the SS. For the next five years he was Commander of SS units in East Germany, organizing special shock battalions for surprise attacks on opponents. After Hitler came to power in 1933, he was given the special assignment of purging the police apparatus of Hitler's opponents, and was largely responsible for turning the police into an instrument of the Nazi regime. Promoted to SS General in 1934, he subsequently became the most powerful policeman in the SS, second in rank only to Himmler. After Heydrich's death, he became Deputy Protector of Bohemia and Moravia in 1942, and was said to have been responsible for the destruction of the village of Lidice. He was executed by the Czechs in October 1946. DARRE, RICHARD WALTHER

A B C D ... Z HAGEN, FATHER THEODORICH (18-) Mysterious Cistercian abbot who is said to have returned from the Middle-East and ordered swastikas carved on Lamabch Abby where Hitler later attended classes. Father Hagen was reputed to be an expert on the Cathars and several other medieval heresies including the Bogomils. HALDER, FRANZ (1884-1972) Colonel-General and Chief of the General Staff of the German army (OKH) from September 1, 1938 until fired by Hitler on September 24, 1942. He was arrested by the Gestapo on July 21, 1944, and held in concentration camps until released by the Allies in 1945. HAMMER, ARMAND (18 - 1990) The son of a Jewish immigrant from Russia who founded the American Communist Party. Hammer found fame many times in his life - and notoriety almost as often. He helped support the fledgling Soviet Union, yet went on to become known as one of the world's most successful capitalists. Hammer first found riches and notoriety as a businessman in the fledgling Soviet Union, where he used his operations to help launder money for the communist government. In 1922, Lenin wrote a secret letter to Stalin, designating Hammer as their official "path" to the resources of American capitalism. From his friendship with Lenin, to Occidental Oil, the Nobel Peace Prize, kickbacks to Nixon and sponsorship of Al Gore, Armand Hammer was one of the most mysterious and intriguing figures of the 20th century. Until his death in 1990, many "theorists" suspected him of being a major agent of world-wide conspiracy. (

Her name was widely used in the Ptolemaic family; there were many earlier Cleopatras. The daughter of Ptolemy XI, she was married at the age of 17 (as was the family custom) to her younger brother Ptolemy XII . The force and character of the royal pair was, however, concentrated in the alluring (though apparently not beautiful) and ambitious queen. She led a revolt against her brother, and, obtaining the aid of Julius Caesar, she won the kingdom, although it remained a vassal of Rome. Her young brother-husband was accidentally drowned in the Nile. Judge Rules for ExxonMobil in Hawkins Royalty Lawsuit ABOUT EXXONMOBIL ENERGY CHALLENGES NEWS ROOM Media Contacts ... INVESTOR INFORMATION IRVING, Texas (January 7, 2003) A District Court judge in Houston has ruled in favor of Exxon Mobil Corporation on principal claims brought by the state of Texas relating to the development of the historic Hawkins Field in Wood County.
ExxonMobil argued that the lawsuit sought to undo more than 60 years of Texas oil and gas law, and would have improperly penalized the company and others for following established rules, policies, laws and practices of the Railroad Commission, the General Land Office and the Texas Highway Commission. ExxonMobil noted that the litigation had alarming implications for other companies and for thousands of working-interest and royalty-interest owners in Texas. The Attorney General's office had stated that the state's next target would be the thousands of individuals who share in production from the Hawkins field and other unitized fields in Texas where state highway fee lands are located.
"ExxonMobil applauds the trial court's decision to reject the state's principal claims in this lawsuit," said Terry Koonce, president of ExxonMobil Production Company.
