Gharial Translocation WWF Bhutan began its conservation work in 1977 by WWF and its collegues in the Eastern Himalayas are working to strengthen antipoaching measures, to stop illegal trade and to reduce consumption of tiger based medicines, and to create incentives so that tigers are worth more alive than dead to their human neighbors. Bengal Tiger providing training opportunities for Bhutanese nationals and gradually evolved into a full country program facilitating severaL conservation projects, that are currently being implemented by national agencies.
