Men's Basketball Keys' Three's Lead Devils Past Gettysburg 74-59
    February 24, 2004
(Carlisle, PA) Sophomore guard Matt Keys (Mt. Holly Springs, PA/Boiling Springs) scored a career-high 30 points and classmate Brad Litchfield (Montoursville, PA/Bishop Neumann) added 27 as Dickinson College knocked off Gettysburg 74-59 in men's basketball action Tuesday night. The teams traded leads throughout the first half with Gettysburg holding a slim 29-28 advantage at the break behind 10 first-half points from David Glaser. The Bullets extended the margin to seven at the 18:07 mark of the second half before a 16-8 run put Dickinson back in front 44-43 with 11 minutes remaining. Three-pointers made the difference as both teams shot almost identical from the field. The Devils hit 21-of-52 while Gettysburg went 21-for-53. Keys and Litchfield combined for 10 treys on the night with Keys' final triple stretching their lead to 62-51 at the 4:48 mark. Litchfield gave the Devils their biggest lead of the night, 64-52 with a driving lay-up with 2:36 on the clock. From that point, the Centennial Conference's top free throw shooter took over from the line, hitting 8-of-10 in the final 2:09.
