Nuno sees Gary Cherone, the vocalist, for the first time and is turned off by the rock star atmosphere around his band. Gary and Paul Geary's band, The Dream, release a self-titled 6-song LP on Toppe Records. Paul and Gary had met years ago when Gary auditioned for Paul's then-band Adrenalin. Pat Badger begins working at Mouradian Sound Research where he customizes guitars and basses. He found the shop while admiring the bass that Chris Squire was using. Pat eventually made 3 basses here which he used for playing live and in the studio with Extreme. Nuno leaves high school so he can concentrate on practicing guitar. (circa) Nuno sees Mike Mangini at a club in a Van Halen tribute band. The band takes a break and Mike plays an amazing drum solo. Act IV 2001 Profiles- Kill Hannah Back in 2001, Chicago's Kill Hannah headlined a memorable inaugural Act IV concert. Playing 3 SP covers ("Stand Inside Your Love", "Cherub Rock", + "Snail"), as well as two originals ("Kennedy" and "Ten More Minutes"), they captured their hearts and minds of many of the concert goers. For some of the fans, that came from across the world, this was the first glimpse they got of the up-and-coming band. Though we may never know the impact of Act IV on Kill Hannah's career, Kill Hannah made a definite impact on Act IV. The band helped us sell out Metro and raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A possibility of a double-CD package containing a live recording made during the band's appearance at Slim's in San Francisco on December 14th, 2001 is currently being discussed. In other news, VIO-LENCE's 1991 EP, Torture Tactics, will reportedly be reissued shortly through the Megaforce label. JAG PANZER: The band's self-produced DVD, entitled The Era of Kings and Conflict, will be for sale at their merchandise booth at all the ICED EARTH, IN FLAMES and JAG PANZER shows on the North American tour.
