MEET CHINA. COM http://www.meetchina.com/ US Business Network, Inc., the architect of China's officially sanctioned e-commerce portal, MeetChina.Com, developed this website as the Internet vehicle for China's privatization drive. With exclusive agreements with five key federal ministries in China, US Busiuness Network, Inc. expects to capture a 70% market share of the Chinese e-commerce industry within the next three years. US Business Network and its Chinese subsidiary, USA Business Network, was founded in early 1998 to help pioneer the nascent Internet industry in China. Both parent company and subsidiary have been granted the exclusive status of a "wholly-owned foreign enterprise" (WOFE) to operate and help develop Internet services in China.

Exporting Exporting has become an integral part of business in Queens, and the Queens Chamber of Commerce is doing its utmost to keep pace with this fast-moving opportunity. The Chamber has established a Export Subcommittee of the Business and Industry Committee to work with companies that are interested in exporting their products or wish to expand their exporting efforts. The subcommittee is open to both Chamber members and non-members. During the course of the year, the Chamber conducts export seminars covering key elements such as proper exporting procedure, dealing with foreign companies and, most importantly, insuring payment for goods. An example of such a seminar is our recent video conference with businesspeople in South Africa, which gave Chamber members the opportunity to show their wares to representatives of pre-screened South African companies. The conference was held with the assistance of the Queens Borough Public Library and Empire State Development. For more information on exporting, follow the links of the foreign chambers of commerce listed below, or contact Chamber Executive Vice President William Egan at (718) 898-8500.
