Research Group Home Page OVERVIEW AI research at the University of Alberta is distinguished by its emphasis on collaboration with other areas of computing science as well as its connections with cognitive science, philosophy, and computational linguistics. On-going joint work and supervision of students is common with other department faculty members in the areas of software engineering, theory, data base research, and robotics. This commitment reflects the strong belief that the boundaries between the subdivisions within computing science are increasingly blurred as the discipline matures.
