Celtic artists often ingeniously integrated animal and human forms in the decoration of precious objects; here, a warrior serves as the hilt for a sword. Such anthropomorphic swords may have been meant to enhance the power of their owners or function as talismans in battle.

68. Hollywood Museums
A guide to the many Los Angelesbased museums related to the motion picture industry and Hollywood celebrities.
http://www.seeing-stars.com/Museums/
Priceless artifacts from Hollywood History on
display at these special Los Angeles showcases. More than 85 years of movie-making in Hollywood has produced many glorious memories and also (as you might expect) a lot of great movie memorabilia.
There is no one grand Hollywood Museum to showcase these treasures, but there are quite a few smaller exhibition galleries showcasing everything from popular movie sets to spectacular costumes... from the cars the stars drove to the lingerie they wore.
Would you like to to sit at the original bar from "Cheers"? Want to see the original Maltese Falcon? How about Hannibal Lector's prison cell from "Silence of the Lambs"? It's all here in L.A., and much more. There's something for everyone, if you just know where to look.
Below is a guide of all of the local museums offering an insight into Hollywood and its history.

I t is the most important archaeological museum in Greece and one of the richest in the world concerning ancient Greek art. Its collections are representative of all the cultures that flourished in Greece.
T he construction of the museum was begun in 1866 and completed in 1889 with the gradual addition of the west wing in 1874, of the north in 1881, of the south in 1885 and finally, of the east wing. The building was erected in a large plot donated by Helen Tositsa, with the financial support of Demetrios and Nicolaos Vernardakis, the Archaeological Society and the Greek state.
T he building of the museum was originally designed by the architect Ludwig Lange but his plans were partially modified by Panages Kalkos and later, by Harmodios Vlachos and Ernst Ziller, who completely rearranged the facade and changed the plan of the east wing and the central hall. Two additions were made on the east side of the building; a new wing was constructed in the early 20th century based on the plans of Anastasios Metaxas and a two-storeyed building, designed by G. Nomikos, was erected in 1932-39. T he museum contains collections of : O ther important activities:
