Each dimension is important when selecting clothes that are slenderizing. Hue is the actual name of a color. Some colors, like red, yellow and orange, seem to project a feeling of warmth. Color One of the Four C's for evaluating diamonds by Gary Dutton Diamonds are found in all colors of the rainbow, from clear, colorless, transparent stones to ink black ones. Colors of high saturation such as red and green, which have no modifying secondary colors, are very rare indeed and command world record prices. Collectively, these colored diamonds are called "fancy colored" diamonds, and include the fancy colored yellow diamonds found at the far end of the color spectrum of the so-called "white or colorless" stones we will focus on here. A discussion of the variety and causes of the different colors, which occur in fancy colored diamonds, can be found elsewhere on this site. The best color for a colorless diamond is, in fact, an absence of color. However these stones are relatively rare, the most frequently found diamonds (~80%) being of industrial quality. Those suitable for gem use (~20%) usually have some yellow tint, due to the presence of a small amount of contaminating nitrogen. As one would predict, a truly colorless stone will carry a premium price, and the larger that diamond, the greater the premium per carat. For every carat of polished gem quality diamond, about 250 tons of diamond-bearing earth (kimberlite) must be mined.

Color of Paradise One of the more touching films so far this year comes from Iranian director Majid Majidi, the director of Children of Heaven . Here, Majidi again deals with children, this time focusing on Mohammed (Mohsen Ramezani), a young blind boy. Color of Paradise is the kind of movie that women will drag their men too. At the end, they will be crying, while their dates will be thoroughly bored. This is not a slam against the movie. Where most American movies bombard the senses with sex, violence, and crude humor, Color of Paradise requires a small investment in patience and thought. Mohammed is a student at a special school for blind children. When school lets out for break, his father Hashem (Hossein Mahjub) comes to pick him up a day late. Hashem is obviously ashamed of his son and views Mohammed as a liability. He is looking for a wife, and thinks that getting rid of Mohammed will improve his chances. Despite all this, he still loves his son, and trying to figure out what to do is tearing him apart. The rest of the family loves Mohammed dearly. In fact, Hashem is blind to Mohammed's abilities. Before Hashem arrived, Mohammed managed to find a newly hatched bird that had fallen to the ground, and returned it to its nest in a nearby tree. Mohammed also has an insatiable curiosity about the world around him, and is a quick learner. When Hashem comes close to finding a bride, he selfishly whisks Mohammed away

The outcome of this co-operation was the development of the ICC profile specification. The intent of the International Color Consortium (R) profile format is to provide a cross-platform device profile format. Device profiles can be used to translate color data created on one device into another device's native color space. The acceptance of this format by operating system vendors allows end users to transparently move profiles and images with embedded profiles between different operating systems. This permits tremendous flexibility to both users and vendors. For example, it allows users to be sure that their image will retain its color fidelity when moved between systems and applications. Furthermore, it allows a printer manufacturer to create a single profile for multiple operating systems. The ICC specification is now widely used and has been specified in many International and other de-facto standards. It is now itself going through accreditation as an International Standard.
