T
he Arkansas Arts Center offers a variety of opportunities for classroom teachers - elementary to college level - to enhance and enlarge their student's exposure to art. Gallery Tours
Alan DuBois giving a tour. Gallery tours are given by docents, our volunteer tour guides, who are trained in the fundamentals of art and on specific exhibitions and works of art in the permanent collection.
Tours usually last 30-45 minutes and survey the exhibitions on view.
Tours are available for adult groups and are appropriate for students in Grades 2 through 12 and above. There is no fee.
Reservation:
at least 2 weeks in advance.

Studio Activities
Mosaic art activity. Teachers can schedule two different kinds of studio activities.
A Studio Demonstration includes a 30-minute visit to the studios for a tour and a demonstration by a practicing artist. Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Fee:
$25 per class. Size: limited to 15.

Arkansas Educational Television Station: Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) City/State: Conway, Arkansas Brief description of project: Every national news outlet across the country is dealing with issues about America and foreign policy. AETN, Arkansas' only statewide television station, wants to play a role in facilitating the dialogue about foreign policy around the state. CNN foreign policy commentator, former NATO Commander, rumored presidential candidate, and Little Rock native, General Wesley Clark has agreed to work with AETN in some capacity to assist us in educating Arkansans. By having statewide forums, we believe we will be able to reach a cross section of Arkansans and create useful dialogue on these issues.
