Southwest American and the Arkansas Gazette, and he also served as editor of the Madison County Democrat. He took correspondence courses from the University of Arkansas and received a Master of Arts degree in English and history. After thirty years of teaching, the Great Depression forced Hughes to look for a more sustainable work so he left his teaching profession to go briefly into real estate. He was licensed as a real estate broker in 1936. Shortly after that, the Northwest Arkansas Times offered him a position and he wrote features for seventeen years until his retirement. He was considered one of the most knowledgeable men about Arkansas politics of his day. Hughes is the author of a book of poetry

BACKGROUND HISTORY Arkansas had been a state only 43 years, and the Catholic diocese of Little Rock had been in existence only 36 years when a national eagerness to develop the whole Continental United States in the 19th century inspired the government to give large grants of land to railroad companies willing to encourage settlers to populate both sides of the track in western Arkansas. The Little Rock/Fort Smith branch of the Cairo and Fulton Railroad Company invited Indiana BENEDICTINES to Logan county, Arkansas, to minister to the German Catholic settlers.
At the time there was great unrest in Europe, especially in Germany, Prussia, and Ireland, and citizens were looking for a way out. The railroad company sensed an opportunity and offered land grants to religious institutions with European roots recently founded in Indiana and asked them to establish churches and schools along the railroad in Arkansas.
After W.D. Slack, land commissioner for the railroad company, had secured a commitment from the monks of St. Meinrad Abbey

Home Evolution Contact Me [About] Profile Haha Links About Me : Aight first off, I know I need a haircut in that one pic. Anyway, guess I'll start from the very beginning. I was born in Jinan, the capital city of the Shandong province in China, on November 10th, 1983. The summer of '85, I moved to Starkville, Mississippi. For 11 long years, that's where I lived. When I was there, I thought it was ok. After I left, I fucking hated it. Since it was a college town, it was pretty diverse so I wasn't really exposed to a whole lotta racist shit. That all changed once I moved across the Mississippi River into the "Natural State" in the summer of '96. I'm talkin bout Arkansas for those of you who don't know what I'm referring to. But I'm not gonna get into all that.
Schooling at Starkville Public Schools was a fucking joke. Things were goin smoothly till I got to 3rd grade. This cocksucking bitch named Mrs. Crowell absolutely hated me. She made me sit at a small desk right in front of hers away from all the rest of the students. She tried to get me kicked outta school and all kinds of shit like that. To this day, I don't know what I did to set her off. Amazingly, the last few weeks of school, she was actually really nice to me and I stopped hating her. 4th grade was awesome and also the peak of my own personal happiness in Starkville. It all went downhill from there... 5th and 6th grades were terrible. I had few friends outside of the neighborhood I lived in, and even they started to hate me. It was a very bad time. I'm not even playin when I say I was a fucking loser. Fat, lazy, nerdy, mean... I was all those things. If I'd stayed the rest of my academic career there, who knows what would've happened? Luckily, I got the change I needed.

Eufaula, Oklahoma, the county seat of McIntosh County and former Record Town for Recording District No. 12 in Indian Territory, is located 12 miles south of Interstate 40 at the junction of US Highway 69 and Oklahoma State Highway 9. It is named after one of the historic Creek Indian villages in the Creek Nations old homeland, Alabama. There are only two cities named Eufaula in the United States- Eufaula, Oklahoma and Eufaula, Alabama.
Just one half mile east of Eufaula was the site of North Fork Town, settled by the Creek Indians shortly after their arrival in this area in 1836. The Texas Road and a branch of the California Road crossed at North Fork Town, making it a center of traffic. This important tribal community played host to the treaty made between the Confederates and the Creek, Choctaw, and Chickasaw Nations in 1861. North Fork Town is now covered by Lake Eufaula.

    Native American
Native Americans officially make up the majority of the population in Bolivia , Peru and Guatemala and are significant in most other former Spanish colonies, with the exception of Costa Rica , Cuba , Argentina , Dominican Republic and Uruguay
    History
The Native Americans are widely believed to have come to the Americas via the prehistoric Bering Land Bridge . However, this is not the only theory. Some archaeologists believe that the migration consisted of seafaring tribes that moved along the coast, avoiding mountainous inland terrain and highly variable terrestrial ecosystems. Other researchers have postulated an original settlement by skilled navigators from Oceania , though these American Aborigine people are believed to be nearly extinct. Yet another theory claims an early crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by people originating in Europe . Many native peoples do not believe the migration theory at all. The creation stories of many tribes place the people in North America from the beginning of time. Mormon tradition holds that some Native Americans are descendants of the lost tribes of Israel Based on anthropological evidence, at least three distinct migrations

Choosing a college is very personal and very important. In fact, college counseling begins in the first year. Our College Counselor is available to all students and their families for advice and counsel regarding academic preparation, the search process, admission process, standardized tests and information on specific colleges. The real decision making takes place the last two years. Each junior meets individually with the College Counselor to exchange ideas and create a list of schools based on individual academic abilities, personal goals and aspirations. On vacation, these students visit colleges with their parents, refine their list and during the fall of senior year begin the application process. Our College Counselor will support you every step of the way and prepare the official report sent to colleges. The top 20% of our students have gone on to the following colleges over the last four years:
