PROGRAMS:
Statewide agency operating cooperative and campus based specialized educational programs, psychological, developmental and case management services for school age children who are severely hearing impaired, deaf, severely visually impaired, blind, or sensory impaired with multiple handicaps. In cooperation with Districts of Residence, accepts children who have a potential for learning but who, because of severity of handicap, cannot be served in public school.
Services include comprehensive diagnostic assessments on referred students who are multiply disabled and severely sensory impaired; determines programmatic needs, reports findings to parents and school districts of residence; assists in determining the most enabling instructional environment; provides placement and follow up; and directly provides school services for students deemed appropriate.

Later this year, these things will be hitting store shelves. They're called portable media players, and what they can do is kind of freaky. "What you can store with that is 70 hours of video. Or 2 million JPEG photos. Or, get this, 700 hours of audio. It's just incredible." The players come with tiny 20- or 40-gigabyte hard drives, and are powered by a new Intel XScale processor. SCOTTSDALE DISTRICT
Incoming Superintendent John Baracy will be the featured speaker at the Scottsdale Parent Council meeting at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix.
The governing board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Education Center.
Students will be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The orchestra will perform at Chaparral High School at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Eighth-grader Jaclyn Staub placed first in the country in a national editorial cartoon contest. She will receive a U.S. savings bond and a certificate. The school is accepting open enrollment from throughout the Valley. Open enrollment forms are available at the school office or at the Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix.

Videoconference Facilities Videoconference facilities include T1 compressed video distribution and reception, satellite downlink, conference origination, and teleconference video production. Programs can be distributed to various conference rooms in the Arizona Health Sciences Center and to regional sites across Arizona.
Learning Resource Center The Learning Resource Center is available 24 hours a day (with Cat Card access). The LRC consists of computers, a high quality scanner for print and transparencies, a color and laser printer, and a small library of medical instructional software. In support of the Learning Resource Center we offer the following services:
