ABOUT US
is a private, non-profit, community-based organization that has made a meaningful contribution to the children of Southern Arizona since 1970. The mission of the agency is "to enhance the quality of life for all children and their families." The agency is headquartered in Tucson and provides services in Pima, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Graham, Maricopa and Yuma counties. A community-based board of directors actively governs the programs as set forth in the bylaws of the agency. The board reflects a cross section of our diverse community; physicians, lawyers, teachers, health educators, counselors, community volunteers and accountants. The majority of board members are parents whose child care needs reflect those of all working families. These people set the course of the agency and direct the professional staff so that together the mission of the agency is served.

Administration for Native Americans
The Administration for Native Americans (ANA) promotes the goal of social and economic self-sufficiency of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and other Native American Pacific Islanders, including Native Samoans. Self-sufficiency is that level of development at which a Native American community can control and internally generate resources to provide for the needs of its members and meet its own economic and social goals. Social and economic underdevelopment is the paramount obstacle to the self-sufficiency of Native American communities and families.
Administration on Developmental Disabilities
The Administration on Developmental Disabilities grants support programs that protect the rights and promote the self-sufficiency of Americans with developmental disabilities and their families. Funds help state governments, local communities, and the private sector to integrate these people socially and economically into mainstream society.
Children's Bureau
The Bureau provides grants to states, tribes and communities to operate a range of child welfare services including child protective services (child abuse and neglect), family preservation and support, foster care, adoption assistance and independent living.

It is anticipated that this shift in philosophy will have a positive impact on both the quality of services delivered to young people and on the professionals who work with youth policy and services. The project team will examine and promote the development of an integrated funding stream and policy for providing prevention and early intervention services to young people. The initiative also will provide funding opportunities designed to strengthen connections between youth and communities, offer training and technical assistance to those involved in youth policy and services at the State and community levels, and facilitate information dissemination and exchange.
