One does not need a degree in the field to understand the concepts presented in the articles. Each entry also has a nice variety of photographs, drawings, and floor plans which help to enhance the ideas presented in the text. In each issue, the table of contents is divided into two sections, "Design" and "Technology and Practice," which further allows easy access to the material in this publication. Each issue includes a section of book reviews, a calendar of upcoming AIA events, a products list, and an advertisement index.

Admission Requirements Globalisation of capital and the information industry is impacting on both architectural education and practice. Metropolitan cities like Berlin, New York and Sydney are hosting competitions and projects designed by architects who have firms based in various cities of Europe and America. Students who pursue ambitious future careers in architecture are motivated to work for prominent local and international firms and thus have to compete with other young architects educated in different schools of architecture in this global village.
Sydney is the major metropolitan city in Australia and now recognised as a world centre with many multinational corporations with head or regional head offices. This program is unique in integrating theory with practice. The core units of study cover architectural history, theory and criticism, and urban design. These units map the contemporaneity of architecture within the discourse of globalisation, architecture and the city and the impact of telecommunication technologies.
The program in Architectural History, Theory and Criticism consists of advanced study in contemporary and recent theories of architecture using historical inquiry. It can prepare the student for a deeper understanding of architectural history, theory and criticism, for careers in architectural history, teaching or journalism and for PhD studies in the discipline.

Moreover, this website offers you a unique opportunity to take part in a virtual guided tour along the most significant historic buildings and sites . Detailed information on the architecture and on the preservation of historic buildings is presented along the way.
