Arabic language
The expressions Arabic and Classical Arabic usually refer to ( Literally: the pure Arabic language Middle East (from Morocco to Iraq ) and the language of the Qur'an . The expression media includes not only television, radio, newspapers and magazines, but also all written matter, including all books, documents of every kind, and reading primers for small children. The word "Arabic", in a wide sense, can also refer to one of the many national or regional so-called "dialects", spoken daily across North Africa and the Middle East, which can sometimes differ enough to be mutually incomprehensible. These dialects are not frequently written. It is sometimes difficult to separate concepts in Islam from concepts specific to Arab culture, from the language itself. The Qur'an is expressed in Arabic and traditionally Muslims deemed it untranslatable, though this view has changed in some circles, e.g. those advocating the Islamization of knowledge in recent decades. A list of Islamic terms in Arabic covers those terms which are too specific to translate in one phrase.

arabic language AND LITERATURE. arabic language and Literature works closely with the Department of History of the Middle East and Africa.
http://www.tau.ac.il/humanities/arabic.htm
ARABIC LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
A pluralistic approach is taken to Arabic language and literature, which are examined for their social, historical and literary content. Students who come to the Department are already proficient in basic Arabic and are able to understand simple texts. They acquire the skill of penetrating a language that has been in continuous use for more than 1500 years and has the richest vocabulary of known languages.
The approach to studying Arabic language and Islamic civilization is historical, cultural, linguistic and textual, and students read a broad range of writings: Islamic religious texts, classical (medieval) Belles Lettres , and modern and contemporary literature. Linguistics is studied through classical grammatical texts as well as modern style. Changes in terms and concepts in the language are examined as reflections of developments in Islamic traditions ( Hadith ), sacred texts including the Quran Vitae Prophetarum (stories on the prophets), Arabic poetry , and Judeo-Arabic writings.

And any translation into any other language would also hopelessly change the meaning of the sacred text. The language of the Qur'an is known in the Western world as "classical Arabic"; among Islamic believers, however, it is known as al-Arabiyya
Qur'an cannot be translated into other languages, all recitations of the sacred text are done in the original Arabic. It does not matter if the believer is Arabic, Malaysian, Chinese, or Russian; it is incumbent on them to perform their recitations from the original text. Since recitation of the Qur'an is a fundamental component of prayer ( salah ), it is fair to say that almost all Muslims are united by the common knowledge of this one language.
