The once moderately visited Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon has recently been overrun by people coming from far and wide. Tulsa Aquarium (Oklahoma) The Tulsa Aquarium is a science and education resource center designed to provide an exciting learning experience for visitors of all ages. It will be located on the highly visible, 11-acre site on the west bank of the Arkansas River, just north of the Creek Turnpike. The ground-breaking for this major cultural asset has not been announced as of yet. Over 200 exhibits holding more than a million gallons of water will be on view at the Aquarium. Ponds, rivers, reservoirs, streams, seal pools, coral reefs, rocky coasts, tide pools, and dozens of other habitats will be home to moray eels, giant catfish, Alaskan king crabs, sand tiger sharks, stingrays, jelly fishes, and thousands of other aquatic creatures. Great Barrier Reef Aquarium The World's Largest Living Reef Aquarium The Aquarium touches people's hearts in many ways through its unique combination of entertaining, educational and scientific resources. The most important objective of the Aquarium is to present visitors with the concept of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and the GBRMPA's philosophy that the Reef is `ours to use wisely'. By bringing the reef on land, the Aquarium sparks an understanding of, and respect for, the Great Barrier Reef among users who are ultimately responsible for its conservation.
