Ancient navigators were the link that allowed constant exchange of ideas and goods. This challenges the academic establishment and the "official" history, yet how else can you explain the fact that many of Egyptian mummies show traces of coca and tobacco? The seafarers from Africa, China, Polynesia, and the Mediterranean that met in Americas were an essential part of the ancient world. Forbidden Archeology by Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson

The film is an in-depth examination of prevailing theories about the origin and nature of Crop Circles and the possible implications for us and for the future of Planet Earth. Index of Issue 1 Top Ten Ancient Civilizations With Advanced Technology by David Hatcher Childress Like a real life Indiana Jones, maverick archeologist David Hatcher Childress has taken many incredible journeys to some of the oldest and most remote spots on earth. Writing prolifically of lost cities and ancient civilizations, he has produced no less than six lengthy books (the Lost Cities series) chronicling the dimly remembered glories of obscure locales from the Gobi desert to Puma Punku in Bolivia, from Mohenjo Daro to Ba'albek. We caught up with him shortly before taking off for New Guinea on yet another archeological expedition and asked him if he would be willing to write an exclusive for Atlantis Rising on the Top 10 Ancient Civilizations with Advanced Technology. He agreed to dig through his archives and give us a story. ED

Ancient Civilizations Standards of Learning Correlation Resource Links Not until the 20th century did the true antiquity of Peruvian civilization begin to emerge. Andean culture had long been associated with the Incas only. Archeologists have now shown that the origins of Peruvian civilization reach back 3,000 years before the Incas to a time roughly equivalent with the building of the pyramids in Egypt. Monumental platforms were built from quarried stone prior to 1800 B.C. Pyramidal mounds as high as 90 feet and as wide at the base as 450 by 450 feet were built during the Initial Period (1800 - 800 B.C.). At about the same time, irrigation canals were used in agriculture and the introduction of simple pottery and weaving techniques occurred. Between 300 B.C. and A.D. 600, the Nazca and the Moche cultures were predominate. There is still no conclusive theory to explain why the enigmatic Nazca Lines were drawn, but there is no doubt about the purpose of the Moche tomb of the Lord of Sipan. Along with his remains, it contained hundreds of pieces of funerary ceramic pottery as well as astounding amounts of gold and silver artifacts. Between A.D. 600 -1400 a number of important cultures existed including the Wari (Huari), Sican, Chancas, Chachapoyas, and Chimu who built Chan Chan, the largest adobe city in the world. Pre-Hispanic Peru's most magnificent culture, the Incas, was glorious but short lived. They rose from relative obscurity before 1400 A.D. to create a vast Andean Empire by 1430 under the leadership of Pachacutec. In 1532 the Spanish led by Francisco Pizarro arrived and after a decade long struggle took control of the Incan lands. The last Inca (Emperor) was beheaded by the Spanish in 1572. The most important archeological remains are in the Sacred Valley near Cuzco and at the mountaintop citadel of Machu Picchu.

ANCIENT AMERICAN The purpose of Ancient American magazine is to describe the prehistory of the American Continent, regardless of presently fashionable beliefs- to provide a public forum for certified experts and nonprofessionals alike to freely express their views without fear nor favor. In sharp contrast to majority academic opinion, its editorial position stands firmly on behalf of evidence for the arrival of overseas visitors to the Americas hundreds and even thousands of years before Columbus- not only from Europe, but the Near East, Africa, Asia, and the Western Pacific. Each issue presents such otherwise neglected and even suppressed factual evidence demonstrating the lasting impact made on the Americas by Scandinavian Norsemen, Pharaonic Egyptians, Bronze Age Mediterraneans, Semitic Phoenicians, West Africans, Dynastic Chinese, seafaring Polynesians, and many other culture- bearers. All contributed to the birth and development of numerous and sophisticated civilizations which flourished throughout the American Continents in pre-Columbian times.

    80. Lost Ancient Civilization
And of course, the evidence for vastly ancient, worldspanning advanced civilizationshas been them how to do that, before sailing for the americas?
    http://www.gonzoscience.com/columns/0005-LostACiv_txt.htm
    Lost Ancient Civilization
One of the most interesting intra-science feuds going on is the battle about ancient Egypt between the archeologists and the geologists . The archeologists of ancient Egypt, or Egyptologists, have got the history of Egypt confined to a very delicate apple cart which is currently being upset by the geologists.
According to the Egyptologists, we are supposed to think of ancient Egyptian culture as suddenly flowering from barbarism into grand pyramid-building around five thousand years ago. Unfortunately for them, a geologist came along who knew nothing about Egyptology, and determined that the Sphinx has been around for maybe ten thousand years or more. The Sphinx is a giant rock after all, and if geologists know one thing, it's how to tell the age of a rock. If a rock is in good shape, it's new. If a rock is in bad shape, it's old. And the Sphinx is in very bad shape indeed.
Now the Egyptologists are all freaked out. Archeology and History are much softer sciences than Geology so they've got a lot to answer for. They say, well, if there was an advanced civilization ten thousand years ago, then where is the evidence for it? And of course, the evidence for vastly ancient, world-spanning advanced civilizations has been accumulating for years.
The Americas alone house many of archeology's most well-known and most controversial ancient sites. These sites, if eventually accepted by the orthodoxy, will show that people came to the Americas long before the date of 20,000 B.C. that is currently accepted. There are 300,000-years-old human bones in a cave in Brazil. There is a 200,000-years-old campsite in California. The oceans seem to have been criss-crossed many times by ancient mariners. The outlaw evidence of epigraphy and art shows the Phoenicians and black Africans in Bolivia 3,000 years ago, the Japanese in Ecuador 5,000 years ago, and Sumerians in the Andes in 3,000 B.C.
