Members, join the  ACVPM  E-news mailing list  Email: The ACVPM challenges fellow veterinarians engaged in public practice to improve the strength and breadth of their knowledge in veterinary preventive medicine by pursuing board certification. This experience will enhance personal skills, expand professional expertise, strengthen the specialty of Veterinary Preventive Medicine and ultimately favorably affect the health of mankind and the animal kingdom. Health professions have made extraordinary advances as they have branched out into a broad array of specialties. The general public is scrutinizing professions more and demanding a higher level of accountability and credentialing of the people who serve them. It is no longer adequate to be knowledgeable in one's chosen specialty. Now, it is desirable and, in many instances, required that specialists in the health professions have their abilities certified. The percentage of professionals who are certified in their chosen specialty is rapidly increasing. The veterinary profession has also seen an increased interest in the specialization process. Veterinarians who wish to become specialists should also take the responsibility to become certified.

Quote of the Day "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his." General George Patton WWII VICTORY STILL FRESH MEMORY Posted by Editor on Tuesday, May 11 @ 20:51:05 MDT (39 reads) RIA Novosti's Nikolai Zherebtsov To three-quarters of the Russian people-76 percent-the nation's victory over Nazi Germany in the Second World War is a fresh memory rather than a thing of the past, indicates a survey conducted by the Russian pollster VTSIOM ahead of V-E Day. Only 22 percent of those surveyed associate WWII with Russia's distant past, just as WWI or the Napoleonic campaign of 1812.
