I would just like to take this oppoutunity to say well done to all my students that have just tested for their next rank. It is still one of the most humbling expierenes for me to see someone test in front of a panel of Black Belts and give it their all to pass a grading. I salute all of you that take time to test yourself in this way. Testing for a coloured bit of cotton, is not what it is about. Its about finding out about yourself, how you function as a person. How you cope with pressure that would normally send you to the floor in a quivering heap. Its about learning how to use your martial arts skills in a pressure situation and still think with a clear and precise mind. Its as much about applying your pyshcological Kenpo as your physical ability to execute it. Respect is always earned, and never just given because of the colour of your belt.
