College of Arts and Sciences at UNA The College of Arts and Sciences at UNA is the largest and most diverse of the University's four colleges. It contains 15 academic departments ranging from the humanities to the social and natural sciences. Included are unique programs such as industrial hygiene and commercial music as well as nationally accredited or certified programs in areas such as art, chemistry, music, and social work. Through its departments, the College offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Science in Music, and Bachelor of General Studies degrees; provides preprofessional preparation for a variety of special fields (medicine, law, dentistry, etc.); provides many of the subject fields approved for the degree program in secondary education offered by the College of Education; offers the senior ROTC program; and supplies most of the course work required in the general studies component of all University bachelor's degree programs. The College also provides special coursework in philosophy and religion as well as intercultural (foreign travel) opportunities.
