ABOUT WILD HEART STUDIOS
Wild Heart Studios is an acting and film school headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. It was founded in 1998 by actress, writer and director Mandy Wildman. We teach actors how to act, and film makers how to make films with style, enthusiasm, and confidence. We teach the new Attitude Acting technique, which is easier to learn and more effective than some other methods. Our film making course shows aspiring film makers that making your first film does not have to be complicated or costly to be effective - what is important is getting your message. Even our film makers make films with attitude!
Book - 'Shooting on a Shoestring'.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe space where performing artists and film makers can learn their craft then go out into the world and unleash their beauty on society.
The Attitude Acting Technique
After studying various acting techniques, Mandy realized that the actual craft of acting had been made complex, esoteric and in some cases disturbing to the aspiring actor. Students asked her questions such as "How do I know if I'm good?" and "How do I express emotions I have never felt." Attitude Acting was designed to give the aspiring or experienced actor new information about how to perform with confidence and portray emotions accurately. Developed from over twenty years of experience as a professional performer and director, the Attitude Acting technique demystifies the craft of acting and puts it in the realm of a profession that can be learned by anyone with the passion and drive to succeed. Only certified instructors may teach Attitude Acting.

To Guide Entry
I. INTRODUCTION
This curriculum unit will be directed toward second and third year acting students at The Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School. Two prerequisites for this course are: (1) possession of basic acting skills and experience, and (2) strong commitment both to the individual study of acting and to the concept of theatre as a collaborative art form. Prior formal classwork will have included Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Edward Albee, and August Wilson. My students will have a strong background in improvisation, story-telling, and play and character analysis. My main focus will be an emphasis on acting technique and building a character based on what has come to be known as the Stanislavski system. The acting style of most American actors is based on this system (known as American Method Acting). Students of acting need a thorough knowledge of this style of acting since they see it every day on American television and in American movies. The students especially enjoy acting scenes from films. Just this spring, they produced a student-acted, student-directed production that included scenes from COMING TO AMERICA, FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, and THE BREAKFAST CLUB. Through the study of the tenets of American Method Acting, the students will learn to critique the acting in the films, as well as their own acting, perform scenes from the films, videotape their work, and develop acting technique through Method acting exercises.

Acting can be defined as the ability to create believable behavior in imaginary circumstances. Acting is a craft and actors learn this craft through structured exercises to enhance imagination, improve listening skills, concentration and focus, and response skills and also analysis of text. These techniques take time and practice. The class begins with improvisation and relaxation exercises and moves toward beginning script analysis, monologue and scene work.

Acting is a glorious profession and a most exhilarating experience, but it is also hard work. In the 21st century, the demanding and fast paced world of film and television dictates that actors master all techniques not just one. With that in mind, The Acting Corps has created a program encompassing the best of the Sanford Meisner, Michael Chekhov and Uta Hagen techniques. We've also added our own proven techniques, developed through many years of acting, directing, and teaching. Every Actor Works Extensively in Every Class

Improvisation is a vital, fundamental tool for any actor. Whether auditioning for a commercial or exploring a role with a director, it shouldn't be intimidating to hear the words, " Just play with it. " It is the actor's job to learn to embrace danger, to unlearn safety mechanisms, and respond truthfully to any situation. Once an actor has an understanding of basic techniques, improvisation can be not only exciting and liberating but great fun.
