home artists Composers John Corigliano John Corigliano first came to prominence after winning the chamber music prize at the 1964 Spoleto Festival for his "Sonata for Violin and Piano." "Symphony No. 1," Corigliano's impassioned personal response to the AIDS crisis, was written for the Chicago Symphony where he was composer-in-residence from 1987 to 1990. For this work he was awarded the 1991 Grawemeyer Award music's Nobel Prize as well as two Grammy Awards for "Best Contemporary Composition of 1991" and "Best Orchestral Performance of the Year." In 1991, Corigliano was elected to the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters. He holds the position of Distinguished Professor of Music at Lehman College, City University of New York, and is on the faculty of the Julliard School. Morton Gould David Linton Mr Linton studied filmmaking at SUNY Binghamton before pursuing a career in music. In 1983, he received his first dance score commissions from Karole Armitage and Steven Petronio, among others. He received a "Bessie" award in 1985 and 1986 for two of his scores, and his work was heard in an episode of PBS' "Alive From Off-Center." At the end of 1986, Neutral Records released Linton's debut solo LP, "Orchsography." In 1987, he was awarded an NYFA Fellowship for his work with visual artist Anthoney Silvestrini.

Joseph Carr Sr moved his family to Bellevue Ia in 1852,his son Joseph Jr moved to Jones County sometime during the 1860's, he then moved to Butler County Kansas in 1870. His daughter Jane (Jenny) married Alphius Lamont Hamilton that same year. They lived in El Dorado Kansas. Joseph Craig Carr, (Joseph Jr's son) moved to Morris Illinois in 1856 to work in the MCquiston foundry. He later went on to be the President of the Grundy County National Bank. He also was in the civil war attaining the rank of Adujant of his company, the 31st Iowa. He married Rebecca Jane Wynn and they had three children; Frank,Edwin and Hattie all were born and raised in Morris Illinois. Another son was Josiah R. Carr. He also was in the civil war and was injured. In 1920 he was in the Home for disabled volunteers in Milwaukee WI.(Need info on Josiah)

E il problema di "Finestra segreta, giardino segreto" era proprio questo: King aveva ideato un buon intreccio e creato grande tensione, ma solo fino al momento della risoluzione della storia. Al momento di tirare le fila del discorso, come spesso gli capita, ha infatti completamente perso il ritmo e scelto una soluzione banale e mal raccontata. Koepp ha completamente riscritto il finale e fortemente manipolato gli eventi per adattare le atmosfere di King al mezzo cinematografico.
