John F Nash 's father, also called John Forbes Nash so we shall refer to him as John Nash Senior, was a native of Texas. John Nash Senior was born in 1892 and had an unhappy childhood from which he escaped when he studied electrical engineering at Texas Agricultural and Mechanical. After military service in France during World War I, John Nash Senior lectured on electrical engineering for a year at the University of Texas before joining the Appalachian Power Company in Bluefield, West Virginia. John F Nash's mother, Margaret Virginia Martin, was known as Virginia. She had a university education, studying languages at the Martha Washington College and then at West Virginia University. She was a school teacher for ten years before meeting John Nash Senior, and the two were married on 6 September 1924. DAVID ST. JOHN, M.D. Originally published in 1900
Cornelius Burnham Harvey, Editor
DAVID ST. JOHN, M.D., of Hackensack, one of the leading physicians of Bergen County, was born in Berne, Albany County, N. Y., in March, 1850, his parents being David St. John and Mary Johnson. His mother was of Scotch descent. He is descended from Matthias St. John (Sention), who came from England in 1635 and settled in New England. His grandfather, Noah St. John, moved to New York State upon his marriage to Elizabeth Waterbury of Waterbury, Conn. Dr. St. John pursued a preparatory course of study in the Albany schools and then began to fit himself for the profession of medicine, entering the office of Dr. H. W. Bell, of Berne, N.Y., and afterward the office of Professor James II. Armsby, then the leading surgeon of Albany. He took a course of lectures at the Albany Medical College, the Buffalo Medical College, and the Bellevue Hospital Medical College, graduating from the latter institution with the degree of M.D. in 1875.

Death of a Beatle Journalist Jack Jones discusses John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman
Transcript
Court TV Host : We're going to be talking to journalist Jack Jones about March David Chapman, the man who shot John Lennon : As many of you know, Mark David Chapman's parole hearing is tomorrow. And the Court TV documentary about the murder, Death of a Beatle, is airing tonight at 10pm. Jack Jones' exclusive interviews are included in the program. Actually, the reason that he's not here right now is that he's on the Court TV program Pros and Cons, which is airing right now. Court TV Host : Jack Jones is on line and we're just about ready to begin. Jack Jones : Hello everyone, from the biographer of the most unpopular man on earth. asks: How did you become the expert on Lennon? Jack Jones : I don't pretend to be the expert on Lennon. I do, however, have the dubious distinction of being the expert on Lennon's killer. asks: Hello Jack, Has Mark David Chapman expressed remorse for his killing of John Lennon in your interviews which make up this documentary? Jack Jones : He has expressed remorse, and I believe that he is intellectually aware and remorseful. Mark, however, was a sociopath, and maybe once you are a sociopath, you are always sociopathic to some degree. Therefore, it's difficult to say whether he can be remorseful in a heartfelt way.

96. John Sladek Interview (1982)
1982 interview by david Langford, with a brief profile of the author.
http://www.ansible.demon.co.uk/writing/jsladek.html
An Interview with John Sladek (1982)
A sort of inadequate memorial tribute from David Langford `People have laughed at all great inventors and discoverers,' John Sladek points out. `They laughed at Galileo, at Edison's light bulb and even at nitrous oxide.' In SF novels he himself has invented a world-dominating mechanical horde, a man tragically converted to computer tape, a naive robot who's lynched when mistaken for a black. And what was the callous world's response? That's right. They laughed. John Sladek was born in Iowa in 1937, that year which is the futuristic goal of a time-traveller in his lunatic story `1937 A.D.!' After studying first mechanical engineering and then English literature at the University of Minnesota, he went on to `take up the series of jobs which usually characterize writers and other malcontents short-order cook, technical writer, railroad switchman, cowboy, President of the United States.' He left the U.S.A. to spend time lurking in Morocco, Spain and Austria, alarming the peasantry with his strange habit of writing. Since 1966 he has lived in London and acquired a steadily swelling reputation as an SF author who and this is rare not only produces stimulating and intelligent SF but can be hilariously or cruelly funny while doing so. Which is why they laughed. His first published story was `The Poets of Millgrove, Iowa' (

By John Saleeby Who's funnier - Black guys or White guys? Black guys, you bet! And that's not just some hipster pose like "Black music is the only authentic music" (The only thing cornier than Black music is authentic music.) You'll get tons more laughs sittin' around with Black guys than you will with . . . Hell, ever since email came out I can't remember the last time I've even spoken to a White guy. What a drag to report that, once again, the Old Dead White Males knew of what they spake - John Belushi and Bill Murray, the two funniest White Males of the late twentieth century (One Dead the other Old), both got their start as teen thespians on the amateur stage and so did David Alan Grier. So, speaking as a little old man who has wasted entirely too much of his life sitting around in comedy clubs full of idiots trying to drink enough beer to make the whole thing bearable - You wanna be a Funny Boy, go be a goddamn actor. The morons you will have to put up with can't possibly be as moronistical than the ones you will have stuffed down your throat as a stand up comic and you'll come off a lot more high class talkin' to de ladies about Moliere and Chekhov than you will about Sam Kinison or Rodney Dangerfield.

99. Memories Of John & Carolyn
Photographs, links, and articles about john Kennedy, Jr. and his wife Carolyn.
http://www.everwonder.com/david/johnfkjr/

John F Kenney, JFK Jr, carolyn bessett, photos, pictures, information
This page was created in memory of John F. Kennedy Jr., his beloved wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and her sister Lauren Bessette. They, as well as their families, will be in our hearts and prayers forever.
This is the will John F. Kennedy, Jr. signed in December 1997 and which was filed in New York City Surrogate's Court on September 24 (along with a copy of his death certificate). Kennedy named his wife Carolyn as his principal beneficiary, but since she died with her husband, most of his assets will be distributed, via a trust, to Kennedy's family and friends. Previously, the mother of Carolyn and Lauren Bessette filed these papers to begin settling her daughters's estates.
Settling The Bessette Estates The mother of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Lauren Bessette has initiated court proceedings to settle the estates of her daughters, both of whom were killed with John F. Kennedy, Jr. when his small plane crashed into the waters off Martha's Vineyard in mid-July. Ann M. Freeman today (August 26) filed papers in New York City's Surrogate's Court seeking letters of administration for the two estates, both of which Freeman valued at less than $500,000, according to these court records. Along with copies of death certificates for both of her daughters, Freeman's two petitions also seek to retain the rights for "Personal injury and wrongful death claims against persons and parties as yet unknown arising from airplane crash on July 16, 1999."
