Nabokov, Wladimir (San Petersburgo, 1899-Montreux, 1977) Escritor estadounidense de origen ruso en lenguas inglesa y rusa. Abandonó Rusia a los 19 años a raíz de la revolución de Octubre, y residió en Inglaterra, Alemania y Francia; en 1940 se trasladó a EE UU, donde enseñó literatura en varias universidades. Es autor de traducciones, poesías, estudios literarios y ensayos científicos, así como de una extensa obra narrativa, de la que cabe mencionar, de su primera época y escritas en ruso, Mashenka La defensa El ojo (1930) y Risa en la oscuridad (1932); en inglés, idioma en que compuso el grueso de su producción, destacan: La verdadera vida de Sebastian Knight Barra siniestra Lolita (1955), su obra más famosa, en la que describe la relación entre un hombre maduro y una adolescente especialmente precoz; Pnin Pálido fuego Habla, memoria Ada o el ardor Cosas transparentes (1972) y Mira los arlequines (1975), ambas autobiográficas; en 1983 apareció, póstuma, Lecturas de Don Quijote Inicio Buscador Recomendar sitio
