ISAAC(3) ca 1752-ca 1792 Isaac was the youngest of 4 known sons born to William(2) and Ann in Frederick County, Virginia. Little is known of Isaac. He was left out of the Cora Hiatt book [though she said all the 3rd generation was known]. This was because Arthur Keith had omitted him in the summary of William's will that he included in his treatise on the Chenoweths. It is my belief that Cora did not look at the wills, but relied instead on Keith's publication. Researchers since, including Shirley Harris, have found Isaac mentioned in the will as one of the 3 surviving sons of William [Joseph, dying just prior to William, is also mentioned]. There is an interesting entry in the 1790 will of Alex Dugan naming a Sarah Chenoweth and her oldest daughter Mary Chenoweth. There are only 3 known Chenoweth wives named Sarah in Virginia at this time: Sarah McBride, the wife of James; Sina (or Sarah) Hayes, the widow of Joseph; and Sarah the widow of Isaac. This latter Sarah is the only one we do not have a maiden name for. Could she and Isaac have had a daughter Mary? Yes, if Mary was of age when Isaac died and therefore not included in the custody proceedings.

Cornelius Atkinson , Revolutionary Patriot, was born abt. 1732, possibly in England. Most records say he was born in Ireland, but at that time there was a quota set by the King of England on the number of persons that could leave England. Anyone in a hurry could go to Ireland and leave from there if they said they were born in Ireland. Cornelius is said to have been the son of Robert Atkinson but there is no supporting evidence at this time.

Related Items: Volume 3 in this terrific DVD library of original Star Trek programs includes 'The Man Trap,' the first broadcast episode of the Gene Roddenberry series. Though it was not the first story produced for the show, the process was still new enough that contracted writers were obliged to fill in various blanks, develop some of the key characters, and smoothly introduce some of the Trek Enterprise , the 'salt vampire' can look like anyone in its pursuit of nourishment. With McCoy having such a pivotal part in the narrative, Johnson worked with the series' story editor and episode director (Marc Daniels) on fleshing out his underdeveloped character. There were other issues to think about: this premiere show introduced the Enterprise 's transporter technology as well as Star Trek 's realistic take on scary extraterrestrials. Everyone involved survived the episode, and while it played only to a meager television audience

    Nancy Mundy, Ph.D.

    Policy Analyst

Nancy (Nan) Mundy joined Northern Economics in January 2001. She graduated from the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University in June of 1999 with a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy.
Nan’s dissertation was an interdisciplinary case study of salmon fisheries management in the Columbia River Basin of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Using a longitudinal, historical approach, the study describes how and why particular kinds of decision-making mechanisms, institutional arrangements, and jurisdictions evolved in the Columbia Basin. The goal of her dissertation was to explore the effects of these institutions and decision processes on fisheries management, fish, and democracy.
While at Portland State, Nan taught a course called Urban Nature and Human Design, which focused on the historical development of nature in the city, transportation and development patterns, and design issues. She was the recipient of a university grant to investigate how the landscape preferences of residents of an urban stream corridor differ from those of natural resource experts and the implications for management of such areas. The project combined the use of focus groups with statistical analysis of landscape preference data.
Nan also designed and conducted an Offender Profile Analysis for Washington County, Oregon; following 200 randomly selected offenders through various decision points from booking at the jail, charging, adjudication, and sentencing disposition.
