Manuscrits de textes célèbres, pages de carnets, d'albums où s'entremêlent dessins et brouillons, grandes compositions picturales, croquis d'architecture d'intérieur doublent la promenade au Jardin du Luxembourg d'un voyage dans la création et l'imaginaire hugoliens. Le communiqué de presse Parcours de l'exposition De Paris (1802-1851) à Paris (1870-1885), en passant par l'exil (1851-1870), le jardin du Luxembourg est autant un lieu de promenade qu'un lieu d'inspiration pour Victor Hugo.
