The first officials were Emmanuel DeBono (Loft 1) President, Joseph Pisani (Loft 20) Secretary and Francis Gatt (Loft2) Treasurer. All three are still active members of the club. At present we have 65 members, many of which race the full season, with the full ten bird limit. The race season normally starts at the end of November, and continues to the end of May. Races are held weekly, with basketting normally taking place on Fridays and release on Sundays. The full programme consists of 27 races varying in distance from 105km (Pozzallo - Sicily) to 660km (Manfredonia - Italy). There are no inland races, and all birds must be capable of crossing the Maltese Channel. All races are Club and Federation (National) races. Club Homer has consistently been amongst the top three clubs in Malta, and has also been either best club or runner-up in the short, long and overall distance championships on many occasions. The Malta Federation of Racing Pigeon Clubs consists of 23 clubs, with a combined membership of aproximately 1200.

Finally able to get on the mountain. Can't wait to ride with my new iPod. I love this thing. 20GB, and i'm able to have all of my music on there, with 10GB left over. I love my iPod. I was going to get the 40GB, but I'm glad I didn't. The 20GB is slimmer and lighter than the 40GB. Besides, I don't think I'll be able to fill my 20GB anytime soon. Posted 162 days ago on December 18, 2003 Another problem I have with Safari, the browser decides it will time itself out, regardless of what the server decides the timeout should be. This causes me huge problems. I have huge scripts I need to run, and I have set up PHP/Apache for longer timeouts. Safari decides that it's best if it decides when things should time out. Great! Is this a "feature" or a bug?
