O., Bloom Centre; is one of our enterprising citizens, and can trace the family history back to the time when they emigrated to the New World. Near the year l763, a family of this name emigrated to this country from Holland, and one of the son, who bore the name of Adam, was then about 10 years of age. The family were in straitened circumstances, and Adam's services were contracted for a number of years in order that they might pay their passage and get started in the new country. He served through the Revolutionary war, and was married to an English lady, by the name of Elizabeth Dryburg; he lived for many years in Virginia, and from there moved to this State; he died in his 87th year, and his companion a few years later, at the same age. Through a transmogrification scholars have yet to trace, these nutshell narratives have come to be the chief influence on mainstream American poetry for the last 20 years: The puzzling incident tied up neatly with a worldly shrug or wistful smile. James Tate's new collection, "The Shroud of the Gnome" (a title that could have graced a Moody Blues or King Crimson album), is his 12th since winning the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award in 1967. The book continues his sly subversion of the anecdotal poem. For instance, in "Restless Leg Syndrome," the familiar anecdotal tone of Tate's first lines is quickly punctured by their spiky abstraction: "After the burial/we returned to our units/and assumed our poses./Our posture was the new posture/and not the sick old posture." The speaker then reports on all the items an ocelot, a scrimshaw collection, a snuff box he uncontrollably kicks, and the poem wraps up with a blow delivered to "the White House we keep on hand/just for situations such as this." This is high-grade nonsense, undiluted by whimsy, and as such affords more head-scratching than knowing nods.

Currently, he participates and studies in two programs that deal with this subject, one of which is the Choung Wang Newspaper cultural center. He is afflicted by cerebral palsy and experiences difficulty in walking. Despite this handicap, his paintings are amazing. Obviously, Jung Woon wishes to become a painter. Clover Cemetery Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio Gravestone Photographs Clover Cemetery is located on the west side of Alton-Darby Creek Road, just under a mile north of Broad Street (US 40) and about a half mile north of Alton Cemetery. The earliest stone recorded was erected in 1824. The township trustees care for the cemetery and it is in good condition, though several broken gravestones are stacked inside a locked fenced-in area inside the cemetery. Near the gate is a cross with a plaque that reads: "In memory of five unknown Veterans buried in these hallowed graounds. Let no man plow it under." Some of the stones photographed do not appear on any published index of the cemetery. Perhaps this was caused by the fact that for many years the cemetery was left totally uncared for. There are many, many broken and unreadable stones in this cemetery. The names of those known to be buried here are include even if there is no photograph.
