44. Joshua's Story
We also started a new formula that my babysitter found (organic soy from clover s).After the third day, joshua had a bad diaper and didn t want his last
http://www.infantreflux.org/joshua's_story.htm
Karen, I was so glad when my Mom found your article about infant acid reflux. Our son Joshua was born June 14, 2002. He started having "formula problems" before he left the hospital (hard stools on Prosoybee). We went from Prosoybee to lactose-free to Isomil to finally Carnation Alsoy, which seemed to work the best. All the formulas made his tummy hurt with hard stools (even with syrup in bottles and/or he didn't digest it very well). He has already had two ear infections and bronchitis infection. All the above formulas and/or medicine had a "honeymoon period" like you mentioned in your article. After his last ear infection, he didn't digest the Carnation Alsoy, so the doctor said to try Nutramigen (big mistake). Also during this time, we tried rice cereal, and that really hurt his tummy.
I also think that our second daughter (age 6) probably had acid reflux starting as an infant, but not as bad. We are starting to give her Tums before she eats.
Thanks again for your web site article. It gave me hope that things will get better.

THIRD FACTORY Notes to Poetry IV.3 (8 January 2001)
The following response was received yesterday from Joshua Clover. He writes:
"Of course the economic substrata of the GERM is not analyzed with
the degree of engagé sweetness that Krupskaya or FENCE deserves."
    Andrew Maxwell
The phrase Andrew is laboring (but not very hard) to avoid is "trust fund." It's nobody's secret that the avant-garde pursues radical invention, discovery, practice, et cet, in a space cleared, with fierce frequency, by personal wealth. Indeed, I know myself as the mainstream not because you appointed me thus in '98, but because I've never inherited a penny.
Andrew takes mathematical pains to note that such action often gets confused with autonomy, but stops short of pointing out how it makes a perfect mate to Silliman's claim of being idyllically unbeholden (Ross Perot's exact claim too). There's Pissarro turning away from pointillism because his family can't afford to wait for the dots to dry; a couple decades later, there's Stein doing whatever she pleases.
Well, so what? Better Gertrude's fortune should make space for "rose is a rose is a rose" than advances in silk flower technology. To leap a century (not for the last time), better that the anxious art-collecting fortune of Krupskaya's benefactress should fund NUDE MEMOIR than Seven More Habits Of Even Highlier Effective People.
