SB It kind of goes in both directions. On the one hand, they've taught me what I've needed to know to be open to their presence. On the other hand, if I hadn't been in the psychic situation I was in, I would have been closed to them. This goes back to The Perfection of the Morning and why this book is the next step. In The Perfection of the Morning I said that I soon learned nature was interesting enough in itself. I had no interest in scientific pursuits, so I wasn't bird watching or being a rock hound or collecting plants. I was just walking around and letting the atmosphere seep in. SV You've encouraged and taught many writers who are grateful for the personal attention you give them. SB I used to give weekend and half day workshops here and there, but I've stopped doing that because I live in such a remote place.
