On Friday, Oct. 13, Eavan Boland, Irish poet and self-proclaimed feminist read her poetry to a crowd of approximately 80 in Jeanne DíArc Auditorium at the College of St. Catherine (CSC).
While reading her poetry, Boland weaves in tales from her past that allow the audience to further indulge in her words. Much of her poetry focuses on the history of Ireland. Using creative powers, she transforms tragic events like the Potato Famine, into artistic expressions that bring to life the despair of the time.
