The English Book of Changes: A User's Guide
by Richard Beard
You will need three English coins of the same denomination, preferably silver and minted in the same year. Heads, our Queen, is warp. She is light, warm, strong, rigid, active, odd. Tails is weft: dark, cold, supple, restful, and even. Although weft is weak and warp is strong, there is strength in weakness, and weakness in strength. The English Book of Changes is an oracle that responds to sincere meditation on any given situation, exploring both its correctness and its consequences. The wisdom of the Book is based on ancient texts handed down through generations, their origins often lost. They take into account your present circumstances, analyse possibilities for action, and frequently refer you back to your past. The ideal place to consult the Book is wherever you feel the most self-possessed and serene, such as the patio or conservatory, or even in the bathroom! 1. Take your three coins in cupped hands, shake, and let fall simultaneously on a flat surface. 2. Heads equals a value of one.

LIBRARY SERVICES Richard Beard After ten years in social/care work Richard decided to change his career direction and this resulted in him graduating from the University of Brighton in the summer of 2001 with a first in Information and Library Studies. He was fortunate enough to secure his current position shortly after graduating and continues to be connected with the university through his work there as a visiting lecturer. Richard has been known to inflict his limited acting skills upon people who have actually paid for the privilege, can play that bit off the gallery section of Take Hart on guitar, regularly splashes other swimmers in a desperate attempt to achieve any form of locomotion and reads a silly amount. His dream job is to be a travelling storyteller so never let him corner you at a party. Back to previous page Back to Home Page Updated 30/11/2002

Then one sad day, a brother and his wife lost a tiny baby too early, and they wanted to make a visit to the old family cemetery for some comfort. The day was rainy, and the road back to the cemetery in the woods was muddy on the Sunday afternoon the young couple made the trek, and I was far away and couldn't help the little boy who had grown up and now grieved a grownup's grief. All I could do was call one of the wives and say, "My baby brother and his wife lost a baby. They'll be at the cemetery this afternoon." And the two wives walked back thru the mud and hugged my brother and helped him push his car out of the mud.
The cemetery is located in Owasco, Clay Township, Carroll Co., IN, north of Rossville; east of U.S. 421, and south of Wild Cat Creek. For a history of Owasco, click here: Owasco

DARWIN'S DANGEROUS DISCIPLE
An Interview With Richard Dawkins
By Frank Miele
Richard Dawkins, fellow of New College, Oxford, is one of the leading thinkers in modern evolutionary biology. He is also one of the best writers on the subject. His books The Selfish Gene (1976; expanded, 2nd edition, 1989), The Extended Phenotype The Blind Watchmaker (1986), and now River Out of Eden in the Brockman Science Masters Series (Basic Books, 1995), have introduced the terms "Blind Watchmaker," "Selfish Genes," "Memes," "Green Beards," "Biomorphs," "Arms Races, Sheriff Genes, and Outlaw Genes," and "Mind Viruses" to both professional and popular audiences. The New York Times has described his books as "the sort of popular science writing that makes the reader feel like a genius." While in California this summer, Dawkins spoke before the Human Behavior and Evolution Society on the "Evolution of Perceptual Models," and at the Skeptics Society on the "Fallacies of Creationism." He also took time to speak with Skeptic magazine on the triumphs, limitations, uses, and abuses of Darwinism. Never one to shy away from controversy, here is what the man Wired magazine termed "the Bad Boy of Evolution" had to say to

Contour Beard Stylist Category: Personal Care go to contact information The Problem To Be Solved: Men who have their beards professionally trimmed and shaped by a barber shop, can find it an expensive personal expense since the beard grows back quickly and maintenance needs to be done regularly. As a result, many men use a one edge razor blade to trim their own beard at home, which is cumbersome, awkward, and hazardous to use. Often, men let their beards grow full because they don't have confidence in using a straight edge razor to shape their beards. There is always that unknown factor of whether or not they will get the shape they want, especially because the hand holding the blade blocks the full view of the beard being shaped.
Contour Beard Stylist: Features and Benefits:
Because most razor products on the market are only designed to trim the beard, the Contour Beard Stylist was created out of the necessity to style a beard, in addition to trimming it. The special design of the Contour Beard Stylist allows the user to shape his beard, automatically creating the shape by its blade design, with very little effort by the individual. Easy short or long down strokes on the beard will produce a well trimmed, well contoured beard. The more strokes the user makes, the wider the beard will be shaped.

Consumer interests has been well served and it is time to settle
this costly and damaging litigation now. Please do not keep this going.
It is the average person who is to be served and not big business. As an
individual I think it is time to stop now.

78. X20 - Richard Beard
X20 is richard beard s novel about a man s adventures with smokingand an insight into the tobacco industry. X20. richard beard.
http://member.melbpc.org.au/~kja/x20.html
Richard Beard Not my usual fare this one, it was not a sci-fi, horror, fantasy or anything like that, it was just a story. The story was not about a great deal.
The book was basically written in an autobiographical style, although seeing that the main characters name was different to the authors I am asuming it is a work of fiction. The reason the character is writing the book is because he is quitting smoking and is writing a book to keep himself busy to distract himself from the fact that he is not smoking.
The novel is basically the characters memoirs of smoking, I percieve the majority of the sotry as taking place over roughly a ten year period, with ocasional flashbacks to early childhood thrown in for background referance. There are four or five diferent timelines at once, they gradually all end up at the same point.
At some stage I figured out what the name of the book was all about the "x20" is times twenty (by twenty), the number of cigarettes the character smoked per day at the height of his "career".
The cover has a nice satin finish and feels quite nice, the smoke rings give the reader the idea that it may have something to do with smoking. The really clever thing is the diagramatic representation of the top-down view of a cigarette packet, each chapter sees one more cigarette taken from the pack.
