It also includes an introduction by Asimov's close friend, author Harlan Ellison; a pastiche about the Black Widowers; and an essay by Asimov about how he came to write the Black Widowers stories. For an impoverished child whose family could not afford to buy books, the library was the open door to wonder and achievement, and I can never be sufficiently grateful that I had the wit to charge through that door and make the most of it." Served in US army; became a chemistry professor. Did you know? Though in his books he travelled to the stars, he refused to fly in planes. BIOGRAPHIE
    Isaac Asimov
    Science Fiction's magazine
